Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born at St. Vincent's Orphanage in Chicago. Because of the federal, State and local laws denying adoptees their basic civil rights to their original birth certificates and adoption records, I spent 30 years searching for clues to my biological families by searching libraries for obituaries and for information in old phone books, etc. This entailed a LOT of travel because I did this prior to the explosion of personal computers and online databases and resources for research into genealogy. Unless you are an adoptee, I don't think you will fully understand the extreme joy and connection I experienced when I found the graves of my biological maternal grandparents! And the information contained on those markers led me to finding my maternal half siblings. It also led me to tracing my own ancestry back more than 7 generations. I couldn't be happier if my contributions to Find A Grave can help someone in their genealogy research or in feeling a bit of that connection I felt when I found my biological grandparents' graves.

I had been posting obituaries I obtained from online sources to the memorials I add to Find-A-Grave. But, Find-A-Grave's FAQ (#89) concerning the posting of such obituaries is rather specific. So, I no longer post such obituaries.

Can you tell me why you submitted a photograph of my father-in-law's grave marker? Your bio seems to indicate you were adopted and led me to believe you maybe be related to Cassiano Ferotti. If this is the case, please contact me at george3@robertsonline.org. Thank you! George Roberts

RE: Jesse Joseph Lemna
Thanks for your help. Someone found and took a picture of Jesse & Margaret's gave for me. It was at Queen of Heaven! You were right. I also looked through my Genealogy book and some how I missed that they have him listed at Queen of Heaven. :)

Thank you for photographing and posting the photos for Lester & Ann Farnham. Until I saw the monument, I did not know Ann's maiden name! Your personal biography is touching and is another testament to why we feel findagrave has an important role in genealogy research. Although I acknowledge the argument pertaining to the banning of obituaries, I do not agree with it. In my opinion, if properly cited, an obituary should be allowed at findagrave.

RE: Jesse Joseph Lemna
Thanks for you help again. I asked his great granddaughter if she had any info. I think that's the best resource. I'll let you know if I hear anything.
