My husband, John, and I spent from 1997 - 2008 full time RVing all over the country. We have traveled in 31 out of the 48 contiguous states. He is now retired, and we live in beautiful Destin, FL.

Please notify me if you find any errors or duplicates.

Please feel free to use any of my photos on your submissions.

I verify and edit birth and death dates through the SSDI for those who are listed.

Please do not put biographical or any other information other than condolences or sentiments in the "flowers" section on any of the memorial pages I have created. You can send additional information to me and I will be happy to add it.

RE: Harry Leander Walker 1918-2002
Harry was born in Michigan and died in California; however, he was buried in Michigan. Since you created the first memorial, I requested the person that created the duplicate to please merge it with yours or delete theirs (I think it should be merged with yours, as it has a picture attached to it). I also incorrectly copied the cemetery he is buried in. Sorry about that! He is buried in Parma Cemetery, Parma, Jackson County, Michigan, USA.

Hi Again,

When I was replying to you I noticed the other message from E. Sweeney providing you a cemetery for a memorial you had. The cemetery she provided you was Madronia, so I checked it because there aren't many (if any) undocumented burials in Madronia (except for ones occurring since about a month ago). All burials are already recorded on Find A Grave.

When I looked at the memorial that you added the cemetery to, I saw that there was already a memorial for that person at Madronia, created by El Memorializer about 6 months before yours.

RE: Egon Ruf

I never intentionally create a duplicate. You know me! I have sent you lots of edits! :) And, I so appreciate all of the work you have done and continue to do.

I always search the cemetery that the person is buried in, and if they are not there, I add them.

Did you have a cemetery listed on your memorial that you made for him?

His obit did not list a cemetery, but I knew the cemetery because Madronia cemetery is my "special" cemetery where I make sure all of the burials listed in the cemetery grave records are put on Find A Grave.

Maybe that is what happened? Did your memorial for him list his cemetery as unknown? If yes, then he would not have shown up in my search for him at Madronia.

I try to follow the rules. The rule that I follow is to search the cemetery that I know they are buried in. "Before adding a memorial, search the cemetery to see if a record with that name has already been added. Never deliberately create a duplicate memorial. In regard to duplicates, a memorial with a correct known burial location will always be preferred over an unknown burial location."

I am always learning and trying to do better. I am always happy to delete a memorial or transfer it. If I had seen your memorial at Madronia for him, I would have just sent edits to you.

I see Mark Utley just added his wife. Is that how this came to your attention? Was he not sure which memorial to link her to?

I am sorry I caused you some trouble. :(

Alexander plot
I went back out to Oak Hill in San Jose to see if the stone had been engraved yet for Dr. Claudia Alexander. It appears that they had a new stone made and she is now with the brother John Barry Alexander. Previously he had a stone by himself. The father is still next in the same lot. I posted the new photo for Dr. Claudia. Linda

Burial sites
I will not be adding the information you sent for the burial places in the Old Union-Cincinnati Cemetery. We are in the process of checking all of the graves. I am on the board of the Cemetery and working on the project. Thanks for your concern.

Added you as a friend. Saw your response to the rude person. If she is anything like Elizabeth that sent me a rude message she is a mess. Thanks for putting the rude on in her place! I don't mind making corrections but I will not have anyone threatening me to do it. God Bless!
