I am a retired first grade teacher. I taught in Columbus City Schools. I am very interested in genealogy and have found some helpful information from findagrave. I am trying to take pictures of cemeteries close to my house. I also try to do research to link spouses, parents and enter complete dates of birth and death. I will gladly transfer management of any graves as long as they are not related. Also, you may copy any pictures I have posted.

Hello Barb,

First, "Thank You" for the awesome work you do as a contributor!

(My computer is very, very old and is almost "unworkable - takes me hours to do what should only take a few minutes.)

A fellow contributor has contacted me to see if I could help in locating an ancestral aunt which she didn't even know she had until a cousin found an old journal in a trunk and contacted her regarding what she had learned from the journal.

I have located most of the memorials for the aunt's children and, thanks to your awesome work, I think I have found the last one, that being Maggie. Had you not posted her memorial, we probably would never had known where she and her husband sleep. It appears she is the only one who left this area. Also, I just recently located, (thanks to another contributor) another family member (my mother's lineage) who sleeps in a cemetery in Columbus, having died there while in the military IN 1910!

If Maggie is not your family member, would you mind transferring her memorial to me so I can add additional data? I would be happy to then transfer it back to you if you prefer.

I am not a teacher (worked primarily for the Federal government and in the medical field and, like you, am now retired.) I have several teachers/medical doctors in my lineage (no lawyers - (LOL), a niece is a teacher in Indiana, and two of my sisters-in-law are retired but substitute (in their 80s!). Until I was about 12 years of age, my home was located between the homes of 3 teachers so I "went to school" year-round .. and loved every minute of it (one taught me about Shakespeare (?spelling) when I was about 8 years old while sitting on her back porch - prior to my starting elementary school, I would "pretend" to be a teacher, sitting my dolls around a little table, carrying "junk mail" (which my mom would give to me), and "story books", so I would have something to carry just like "my teachers" - don't remember having to learn to do ABCs and read (seems I've been able to read all my life - graduated from Northeastern, Springfield, OH, "way back when". Needless to say, I have the utmost respect for teachers (need to "zip it", note is rather lengthy, thanks for "listening").

Blessing to you and yours .. Della

Leonard Odell Farley
His parents are Lulu Farley YOD 1966 and charles farley YOD 1968. He has two brothers buried in that cemetery also. Lulu and charles have separate stones but are beside each other close to the drive in front of joan and leonard.
Joan and Leonard have five children;

Blendon Central Cemetery

Dear Barb Carraway,

I am trying to find the connection between:

George Arthur Shuler, Jr #67716564
Gladys Strine Shuler #67716642

who are both buried at Blendon Central Cemetery.

Since you created both memorial pages, would you happen to know if George and Gladys were husband and wife? Or some other relationship?

Glady's V (Strine) first married Albert A Gagne 31 Oct 1940 in Dauphin County, Pa.

I am trying to find who Glady's second husband was, who, apparently, was a Shuler by name.

Thank you for any information you can provide.

Rebecca Strine
