First of all, an explanation of my user name in FindaGrave. I have documented nearly every grave in my county and one day a police officer asked me why he keeps seeing me among the graves in our biggest graveyard. I explained to him what I was doing and he joked that he thought I was a "graverobber". That is how I got my user name. |
I've been doing genealogy work for my Harrison, Stubblefield, Ford, Ames, Hill and Record lines (my grandparents) for over 30 years. I discovered Find a Grave during the fall of 2010 and it validated so much of my data, while also pointing out a number of errors if I used the dates on the tombstones.
I appreciate the fact that I'd only have access to this information if others contribute to Find A Grave. This led me to start photographing my local cemeteries and those in other cities (including many foreign cities) when I travel for my job.
Thank you to everyone for your contributions and I hope you find mine useful as well!

I received an edit reporting that memorial #135656772 was a duplicate of #99478196. I am the manager of both. Please know that the latter is NOT a duplicate; it is a CENOTAPH and is properly marked as such by Find A Grave. Please read the bios on both memorials for more information. Verification of the burial location was made by speaking with the cemetery office in Evansville, and rechecking their records. I have also visited the cemetery where the cenotaph is located.

Thanks for the transfers!
Hello. I see that you have listed a John F. Catlett findagrave memorial #68682401. Are you a relative? Hopefully so lol this is a tough family to trace. John is the brother (possibly twin brother) of my great great grandfather Charles E. Catlett.

Had to think about that a minute. You mean Harrell Thomas Riggins, Ida Mae's brother? Ida Mae was my Aunt. Ida Lee was my aunt, also. Now I know why they used both names for those two ladies. We all called Ida Lee "Aunt Skinny."

I did not realize my grandparents were not linked. Thank you for "suggesting" it.
Are you in the central U.S.?

Just a huge thank you for your photograph of this grave stone which answered my query about what happened to the children in this family.

Hi I believe I have made an error in this descendant. I do not believe this Chloe Moore is my ancestor. Please disregard my request for transfer. Thank you. Juanita Thompson Cox.
