Hill Cemetery
Just a note to say that I think your photos of how the headstones in the Hill Cemetery looked in 2009 are very valuable! And the contrast is a lovely tribute to the scout troop that I heard did the work. Please let the other photos you took of these headstones remain. I wish they had found the headstones for my Faber-Rudy ancestors, but perhaps those stones will come to the surface someday.

Gayle, a few years ago you were kind enough to add a photo of his tombstone to his memorial. At the time it was not very legible. I'm told some work has been done to restore some of the stones and another volunteer has posted a more recent photo which is much more clear. Would you mind deleting the one you posted earlier now that we have a better one. Thanks for considering this and for your generous help in the past.

RE: Charles Weaver tombstone
I live fairly close, I'll have to go there sometime and look.

I don't drive, so that's what is holding me back.

RE: Charles Weaver tombstone
Charles Weaver was married to a Lottie Violet Teter. When he died, she married a Clair P. Keister.

However, she is not buried with Clair Keister. I was hoping she was buried with her first husband, Charles Weaver.

RE: Charles Weaver tombstone
Is Daisy the one that married a Gretzinger?

I came across her burial in records for Fetterhoff's Church Cemetery, but I am in the same boat as you.

I haven't been able to identify the father either.

Do you have an obituary for Daisy? Outside of an obituary, the only other things that might mention a father are the death certificate and a church baptism record.

Charles Weaver tombstone
Did you happen to see if Charles Weaver was buried alone or if he was buried with a wife?

Thank you, thank you. I appreciate the time you took to take the photos. As you were posting them, I was posting one I took for someone else. I love how this works! Catherine Bomberger Matter/Motter was a sister of my ancestor, Elizabeth Bomberger, who married Jacob Erb. Again, thank you for your time.
