I started with cemeteries as a place to walk, but I started to notice the condition of the older stones, including my own ancestors. I didn't want others not to have these valuable bits of information to bring their own families together. So I walk and take pictures, the best of both worlds.
I give my permission for the use of my pictures for your family's search.
To request a transfer go to the memorial and click on the Edit button. Then choose the option "Suggest any other correction or addition". In the box that comes up simply request a transfer. Please do this with each memorial you would like transferred. I will keep my relatives.
Baby girl Aleksa gravestone First, thank you SO much for doing this work! I have found so many of my relatives that I didn't know where the graves even were through your work. Re: Baby girl Aleksa, 342872069, I thought perhaps you would like to know the story, and could add it to the post. She was the daughter of my father's brother Stanley Aleksa and his wife Helen. She was stillborn, as I remember the story; it's why she wasn't named. And that's so sad, that she never even had a name. Both parents are long gone, and they had I think a couple of miscarriages as well, before finally having a healthy baby boy in 1949. That boy became Father Tom Aleksa, and is still alive and active in the Diocese of Erie. Thanks again for the work you and your cohorts do!!
Thank you for the information on the source for the obituary for Jasper 'Royal' Kennedy. I like to have as much information as I can for putting together memorial page information. I think it could prove helpful for future generations and for people living now who might want to know more about their deceased relatives and ancestors so that they can do their own research and continue the process of completing the life stories of those who have gone before us. Enjoy your month of April.
Sorry to take so long to get back to you regarding Jasper "Royal" Kennedy (Find A Grave Memorial# 156088103). I have placed the obituary information you sent on his memorial page: In Girard, PA, Monday May 10 1909, R. J. Kennedy aged 66 years. Funeral at Girard, PA.
Do you want me to include your name and Find A Grave member number on his memorial page, as the person who provided the obituary?
Also, do you know the name of the newspaper and city in which the newspaper was published, that the obituary appeared in?
