I'm a retired teacher from Wisconsin who became interested in genealogy in the fall of 2012. I'm looking forward to learning more about ways to find out information about my ancestors and my husband's ancestors.|
I am more than happy to make additions and/or corrections to memorials. Please use the edit key rather than leaving a public message. If you are a relative and would like to have a memorial transferred to you, please submit that request through the edit key as well. If I am not a relative, I will be happy to transfer the memorial to you.
When I take photos at cemeteries, I like to take a wide shot if possible to include other family members. I usually create a caption for the photo saying who is in the photo. To see the caption, just double click on the photo. I also use the abbreviation OSSW (on same stone with) frequently when two or more people share the same stone.
I am granting permission to use any photos that I have taken for any non-commercial use. It would be appreciated if you would acknowledge that the photo came from me. Please feel free to use them on family trees and other websites.
Please check out the virtual cemeteries that I have been working on. If you have any information that you would like to share with me, please use the edit key or send me a public message through Find A Grave.
I enjoy photographing entire cemeteries, creating new memorials, and adding photos to existing memorials. I try to do a quick search to see if I can document family relationships. Before I go on to the next cemetery, I try to make sure that duplicate memorials have been removed and all memorials are actually in the correct cemetery (when possible).
Listed below are the cemeteries I have completed so far by county. The first year listed is the year I photographed the entire cemetery. The second year, if listed, is the year I last walked through the entire cemetery again looking for updates.

Note: 99.9% of all Find A Grave contributors are wonderful people. However, there are a few people who operate outside of the Find A Grave guidelines. There are some people who create memorials for relatives and list them as "burial unknown". They wait for photo volunteers like me to find their relatives and create memorials for them in a given cemetery. Then after the relative is found, the person sends a request to remove the "duplicate" record. This has happened to me on more than one occasion! Please don't do this to Find A Grave contributors who work hard walking local cemeteries and taking countless photos.
If I happen to find one of your relatives you have been looking for, please send me a thank you through the edit key, remove your memorial, and request a transfer. I will be more than happy to honor your request. I might even be willing to move my photos over to your memorial and delete mine under certain circumstances.

It showed I had been successful, when I thought I had not.

Hopw can I add the initial "M" to my grandma Antoinette M. O'Connor's name on find a grave?

You're welcome, and now family is linked as well. Thank you for reaching out!

I received your email with the suggested name change for Lorraine. I am not sure how to correctly change it without more information. Is Sage a middle name, maiden name or married name? Same question for the other parts of her name.

I am a Pierce from Wisconsin. I have been trying to find my Harriet (Fineout) Pierce and John and Mary Pierce (who might be in Michigan) and am to the point of ruling people out. Which was what I was doing today. The folks in Pine Grove are likely cousins distantly but I can't seem to put their family quiet together with mine. That is okay the research is worth while either way and now that it is written down and uploaded it can be looked up by others and not guessed at. You are welcome to transfer if you want I take care of other peoples families too. Thank you for your work with Find-a-Grave, even in TN right now the weather is not nice enough to be out in the cemetery. Although I do know a few braving the cold :-)
|Nat Stelter||RE: Laura Luebke|
I am hoping to take a look around the cemetery one of these days [if it ever warms up], as I have never actually stopped there. I only recently found a newspaper clipping of Augusta LUEBKE's obituary that stated she was buried at the Lutheran cemetery in Princeton. Planning also to walk down to Little Mecan to look at the last Unknown picture.
|Doug Oitzinger||Anita Liska|
I believe the Anita Liska nee Ziech at Holly Cross cemetery is misidentified. The January 11, 1953 Milwaukee Sentinel Death Notices lists Anita Liska as nee "Brodzeller" married to Herbert Liska.
|Earl Pagel||RE: Pagel photos|
I will check the site out later today or tomorrow!
|Earl Pagel||What is Winter? Lol|
We never had Winter this year in Utah, 1 week in December, 43 to 60 almost daily, my fruit trees are blooming!
I have not been able to tie the Pagel's in your area to my ancestors but continue to look for a link, and it would be selfish for me to have them transferred to me, but through researching every Pagel in the USA from Prussia, I am hopefully helping others. I look forward to seeing the photos you plan to take, and should you find additional Pagel's it would be greatly appreciated! Possibly you will find Heinrich and August's Father in the area, but he likely died in Kr. Regenwalde?

Thank-you very much! I'll do similar bios for all those who you transferred - I like sharing the information I've researched. :) And if more information comes my way I'll update. Thank-you again for all your work in this cemetery; can't wait until Spring!
