I am more than happy to make additions and/or corrections to memorials. Please use the edit key rather than leaving a public message. If you are a relative and would like to have a memorial transferred to you, please submit that request through the edit key as well. Please state how you are related. Transfer requests outside of Find A Grave guidelines will be considered on an individual basis.|
When I take photos at cemeteries, I like to take a wide shot if possible to include other family members. I usually create a caption for the photo saying who is in the photo. To see the caption, just double click on the photo.
I am granting permission to use photos that I have taken for any non-commercial use. Please acknowledge that the photo was taken by Find A Grave Contributor Janet Marie #480008518 - especially when reposting it on Find A Grave.
There are some contributors who create memorials for individuals and list them as "burial unknown". They wait for photo volunteers to find these individuals and create memorials for them in the correct cemetery. Then after the individual is found, the contributor sends a request to remove the "duplicate" record. It's pretty unscrupulous, but it's done. Please, don't do this to Find A Grave contributors who work hard walking local cemeteries and taking countless photos.
If I happen to find one of the people you have been looking for, please send me a thank you through the edit key, remove your memorial, and request a transfer. I will be more than happy to honor your request. I might even be willing to move my photos over to your memorial and delete mine under certain circumstances.
If there are duplicate records in a cemetery, a request will be sent to Find A Grave to merge the memorials. All the information, photos, etc. will be preserved. Find A Grave will decide which memorial to keep, which usually is the memorial that was created first in the correct cemetery. This usually takes about 1-2 weeks.
I enjoy photographing entire cemeteries, creating new memorials, and adding photos to existing memorials. I try to do a quick search to see if I can document family relationships. Before I go on to the next cemetery, I try to make sure that duplicate memorials have been removed and all memorials are actually in the correct cemetery (when possible).
Listed below are the cemeteries I have completed so far by county. The first year listed is the year I photographed the entire cemetery. The second year, if listed, is the year I last walked through the entire cemetery again looking for updates.

|Marty McCarthy||RE: what is FAG record for dormant request?|
No Luck with Grave Walker yet - I see he is active yet, maybe away for a spell. I started my heaviest repair in Columbia Ct. at Courtland Cem. A 1950 pound very crooked base stone and an 1800 pound main stone for William Baxandall 1849-1915 and his wife Mima 1884-1924. The cemetery committe interrupted me mid-repair! I have done 5 repairs there so far. Only a few to go. I vote for lighter ones like in Westfield!
|Janell Shumaker Keuler||RE: Clara Timm photo|
Thanks. I'm glad you contacted me. The obit says Clara was buried in St. Mary's instead of Hillside. This happens quite often because the 2 cemeteries are adjacent to each other.
|Janell Shumaker Keuler||RE: Clara Timm photo|
Clara Schabach Timm 1886-1928 is buried in Hillside Cemetery not St.Mary's. The picture that I took was in Hillside.
I have both of the cemeteries data on my computer and I don't see the other Clara in Hillside. I will contact the contributer and try to get it fixed.
Thanks for letting my know.
|Marty McCarthy||what is FAG record for dormant request?|
I just fulfulled a pic request from 2010 - what year difference is your record?
My latest repair (7 hours ago) was supposed to be at Jerrison cem.(Columbia county)I walked every possible tangent on old county U. The Find A Grave map IS wrong. (And I have an unknown claim due to my records akimbo now!) Take care, Marty
The actual location of my repair today was at McDonald's cemetery in Columbia Ct. Big repair of Frederick Griese and Wilhelmine Giese. Just plain great old red granite monuments! take care, Marty
p.s. By the way - do you know where Jerrison Cem. is at at? (Columbia, Ct.)
|Larry Krueger||RE: Alice Schoenwetter|
I wonder if this is her second husband? (Link below) First one died in 1976 this one died in 1978 so it could have been him but I don't know. So many are buried apart because of previous spouses and other existing paid for graves elsewhere.
You know for sure if she will she be buried with Daniel or a Sshoenwetter? Her stone has first married name but her obit has her second marriage name.
If you would like I will transfer her to you. Then you can fix it up as you see fit. She is no relation to me.
|Larry Krueger||Alice Schoenwetter|
Thanks for her edits. I will do the obit thing when I get a chance. I am up north in the woods this week.

Hi Janet, Thanks for taking a "non-wet" pic of Cora Benjamin. Meant to retake, but that was ages ago and poof, not in my memory! I deleted my cruddy pic! Did a repair in Ingle, WI today (Aug Wendt, Pleasant Hill Cemetery just barely in Columbia County) take care, Marty
|Susan ||RE: Marian Bushnell #105385093|
You are welcome. My plan is to go there soon and I will let you know then what I see and hopefully get a photo.

|Janet||RE: Eureka Cemetery|
I'm glad to hear someone is working on photographing Eureka Cemetery. One of the readings you are referring to is mine.
These people are buried in Eureka in unmarked plots if you're not finding their stones. Info of their final resting place is from their death certificates. I added that info in the bio of each one you questioned.

|Michelle (Smoody) Nelson||Schultz's|
I see that you had sent me an Edit for one of my ancestors and then I took a look at your list of memorials that you have done. Great job by the way. But I have a request and am wondering if you could email me privately in regards to the Schultz's that you have memorials for. I would be really grateful.
My email is; firstname.lastname@example.org
