Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have become passionate about my family's history recently. However I feel like I am very inexperienced and I am very thankful that this site exists. I know it is saving me hours of research and gallons of gas.
I am willing to help anyone with anything I can, just ask. I live in the Austin, Texas area but am in Llano and San Saba counties on a regular basis. If you have any info that needs to be updated or changed please let me know. I am only willing to transfer memorials I positively know I have absolute no relation to.

Surnames of my ancestors include:
Jones, Hiilsmeier, Morris, Epperson, Phelps, Greenall, Poehler, Smith, Ward, Helm, Atherton, Boehl, Lively, Wilson, Harrison, Harkey, West, Brown, Evert, Reimer, Lambert, Williams, Taylor, Dawson, Wimberly and Vaughn.

The only notable relative I know of is Pleasant Wimberley, he was my 5th great uncle, and for whom the town of Wimberley, Texas is named after. Also there is family rumor that we are related to James Wilson, who signed the Constitution and was an original Supreme Court Justice, but I have found no evidence supporting it.

Hello there
I was wondering if you could transfer Bettie Lee (with Robert Leander Lee) to me. Memorial # 68787419.

They are my great great grandparents.

Thank you so much. Courtney Hubbert

Locker Cemetery
Are you kin to Finchs in Locker Cemetery. Check out around San Angelo, Knickerbocker, & McCamey for Harkeys. There are two buried at Big Uncle Cemetery, Richland Springs. They were killed in gun fights.

Thanks so much for the photo you added to this memorial. Would it be all right with you if I uploaded this photo to my family tree, giving you photo credit, of course?

RE: Comanche Cemetery
Yes, Comanche Creek is on private property – but cemetery access is permitted. This land is covered with prickly pear and deer. Don't go to the cemetery during hunting season when the deer leases are active. Best to stay on the dirt road and turn around at the end where there is a little more room. We passed through two gates – each one chained, but not locked. We made certain to leave them as we found them.

You will also find Google Map Hybrid to be handy when you get to the dirt lanes leading to the cemetery. We drove to the cemetery from Marble Falls and took the most paved route.

Drive West on Hwy 71 from Hwy281
Turn South on FM 962 (Round Mountain Road)
Drive about 3 miles.
Turn West on FM 3347
Drive maybe 8 miles? …….Look for a dirt road on the right –Lynn Hardin Road.
(Can't recall if there is a sign – but it's on the right and FM 3347 is still blacktop. Not much further down the road, FM 3347 turns into dirt as you continue toward Willow City.)
Turn North on Lynn Hardin Road (dirt road going to Click Community)

Comanche Creek - and the cemetery on the other side of the creek - is on your left but you can't see it through the prickly pear. This is where Google Map Hybrid will detail all the dirt roads through the ranch land. Take the 2nd dirt road on the left – driving west. You will come to an intersection with another dirt lane. This time turn right and drive until you see the creek with a big gate on the other side. I recommend parking, walking across the stones in the creek, through the gate and up the road to the cemetery at the top. But they may have graded the creek banks since we were there. The cemetery is fenced and well maintained.

W.Y.E. memorial
I hope you can give W.Y.E. a proper name, birth and death. I hate it when there is nothing. They were a real person and deserve to be recognized.

Happy hunting,

Rhoda
