I started with Find a grave over 14 years ago because I found some of my relatives listed on here. Then I started to get request for photos of local cemeteries and found that Oakdale and Calvary Cemeteries in Crookston did not have many people listed on find a grave so I talked to some of the ones who either work in the cemetery taking care of it and ones from the office to get records for both cemeteries. I have been working on the cemeteries over the years trying to keep them as up to date as possible. I also keep going into the offices for both cemeteries and get up dated information. So I may contact you about someone in either Oakdale or Calvary cemeteries, it could be to give you their plot location, spouses memorial number, or parents memorial numbers, or it could be that they are not in record books or interment records so you may have the wrong cemetery. If you have added someone one to Oakdale or Calvary cemetery and I or some one else has contacted you to say they are not in the records, it could be because of who was doing the books at the time forgot to add them or because the record got lost. If this is the case please contact the cemetery office of where the person is buried and get them a copy of the record, this will help update the records and will also stop someone from contacting you to say they are not buried in that cemetery. If they are not in any of the records it could be that they were cremated and the family has not had them buried as of yet. If I happen to see in the obit that they are going to be buried in one of the two cemeteries then I will not try to make the chance in the cemetery location unless I find out the family changed their minds about where the person was going to be buried.

I have also added names to some other cemeteries in Polk County, Minnesota along with some of my relatives from other states and Canada.

All I want out of this is to make sure that everyone who is buried in these cemeteries get added.
