Please understand that I have no control over the names, words and dates engraved on stones, written on death certificates or provided in obituaries. I didn't write them. I'm only providing those previously written words to you.

I have been a contributor on this site for over 13 years, so yes it stands to reason that I have a fair number of memorials that I have entered, added to and lovingly care take even though they may not be a branch of my own family. It's quite possible that if I had not entered the memorial to begin with, you may not have been able to find them.

Individuals using this site need to realize that we are all volunteers and do not need to deal with abusive behavior or rudeness just because we won't make a transfer to someone who has registered two days or two months ago and want every memorial on the site with the surname of Jones. Or a transfer of a memorial of someone who they think just might be a fifth cousin, four times removed of their third ex-husband.

If you are new to this site, PLEASE read the "Frequently Asked Questions" located "HERE". If you take just a moment to familiarize yourself with these guidelines, it will definitely help yours and everyone else's state of mind, blood pressure and headaches.

If you will please use the "Edit" tab located on each memorial, I will be more than happy to correct, edit or add information to a memorial that is meaningful. I will not add all of the information from the past ten census records that have been released or any distasteful or disturbing messages.

Please be kind. We all make mistakes from time to time. If I have made a mistake or created a duplicate memorial later than one you have created, please use the "Edit" tab and send me the correction or let me know of the duplication and it will be taken care of quickly.

I will make transfers using the "Guidelines" if they are not a relative of mine. I will transfer your children, siblings, parents, grandparents or great-grandparents. All other requested transfers will be considered if you use the "Edit" feature and state your relationship or intended need for the memorial.

Lastly and most importantly, there are so many absolutely wonderful people that use Find-A-Grave! I am very appreciative for all of the suggested corrections, additional information and photos that have been provided. Please don't allow the rude, abusive and sometimes rather bizarre behavior of individuals to curb your enthusiasm or your want to help others.

Warm regards,

Thanks for finding and posting those obituaries. I think the plot thickens. In addition to Theodore Weyel marrying both Ida Braun and Ida Ruempel - Ida Ruempel first married Heinrich Scheffler.

Apparently Theodore and Ida Braun had son Arthur Weyel while Heinrich and Ida Ruempel had son Emil Scheffler. Then Theodore Weyel married Ida Ruempel Scheffler and they treated the boys (born a year apart both in Dec!) as brothers.

Ida Ruempel Scheffler Weyel's obit and Theodore Weyel's obit both mention both boys as surviving sons. The obit you posted for Theodore calls Emil, Amiel Scheffler.

I couldn't write a better soap opera script if I tried!

Thanks for the catch LOL. The 0 is next to the 9 and I guess I just hit the wrong key and never noticed. I appreciate your calling it to my attention.

Hi again, Joan!

Although I am not a relative of this lady, and am not requesting a transfer, I do have a little extra info., for her - she is an "associated family" friend of my Davis Family.

I am sending you her birth date and year, thru "edit," and thought you might glean a little info., from a transcription of her obit.

"Mrs. Hannah M. Lorillard, aged 84, died this morning at 3:15 o'clock at 721 South Alamo street. She was the widow of the late William Lorillard and had lived in San Antonio the past fifty-three years. William Lorillard was the third husband of deceased. She had been married to Peter Weatherspoon and John Huntress. They had all seen service in the early wars. Peter Weatherspoon died during the Seminole war and John Huntress died in the Mexican war. The latter participated every engagement with General Zach Taylor and William Lorillard in the civil war. Nine children survive here, as follows: Peter Weatherspoon, F. G. Huntress, Alonzo, William Thomas and James Lorillard, Mrs. Marguerite Brigham, of Denison; Mrs. Louisa Spain, of Colgate, I. T., and Miss Eleanor Lorillard. She leaves 76 grand and great grand children. The funeral takes place tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock.

I believe this is from the San Antonio Evening Light, but unfortunately the attributing info., was cut off.

Best Regards, Deb Booth

William A. Garrett and family
Joan, firstly; thanks so much for putting the memorials up for my Garrett's. William A. Garret is my great, great uncle. It was wonderful to find him, his wife Isabella and 4 of their children's memorials. I did some connecting of the children to their parents in the "edit" format. Thanks again
