I came across the findagrave website by accident one day while looking up my wife's obituary. I didn't know that it existed and was touched how someone had put in her obituary on the site. So I felt the need to help out other's as I can. |
My wife Tammy Vance Alberthal is buried in the Boerne City Cemetery along with our first dog Oscar.
I retired from working in June 2012. Now I spend my time volunteering at several organizations and going to cemeteries to take pictures then update them on Find a Grave. I have completed the entire Boerne City Cemetery and now working on Mission Park North Cemetery in San Antonio.
I'm not a numbers person -- for memorials that I add, I try to find the obituary for the individual and add it to the memorial as well as a picture of the person (and give credit where I found it). I believe everyone has a story and needs to be told to keep their memory alive and for future generations to see.
Don't be afraid to ask for transfers for anybody. I am totally for it and hope others would do the same for me.

Please consider transferring my family member to me #125366532
|Richard Finegan||George Rufus and Dell C. Wright|
These were my uncle and aunt, and I manage most of the memorials for Rufus's family. I'd happily take over management of these two.

You're welcome. I searched to find a cruise ship gif file for her. I put in my scrapbook here. It looks like you both had so much fun cruising together. Your story made me smile.

Thank you so much for transferring these memorials and for doing it so quickly. I've been on ancestry.com for only a few hours and have retrieved tons of information, some of which I will now include on their Find-A-Grave memorials. :-)
Thank you for visiting my son's memorial and leaving a token.

You left a flower for my nephew David Silas Thomas today. He was one of the lonely people of life, disabled, with few friends. It's very moving to find someone had stopped to give him a moment. I believe he knows. Thank you for what you do for so many people.
I found this site about ten years, while looking for any articles or obituaries about my brother Cory Fridge. I didn't find anything. I wonder if there is a way to find articles or obituaries about his death. He died in a town south east of Houston, Texas. ---<--@

Glad I could help! I was able to find her name using the Social Security Index. www.familysearch.org has them for free, along with Texas death certificates up to 1976. Ancestry has them too, with a better search feature, but you have to have a subscription for those.
Thanks for all your work on Find A Grave!
