During this time, I have communed with the dead at Harrisburg Cemetery, trying to find the"lost" souls who have no memorial or whose gravestones have been buried or removed, and to tell as many family stories as possible.

Although born and raised in Warwick Township, Lancaster County, Pa., I have lived in Rochester, Pittsburgh, Lancaster, and Berkeley. Since 1996, I have resided in Hershey, Pa. My interests include the Witwer, Leeking, and Eby families.

I have computerized the records of Middletown Cemetery, Middletown, Pa., through 2010, and also the records of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Rothsville, where many of my maternal and paternal ancestors are buried. To supplement those records, I am trying to ensure that everyone in the Rothsville cemetery has a Findagrave memorial, even those without a gravestone, and that each person is linked to his parents. If you can help by providing information, please contact me, and please add personal photos that you may possess.

Most of my memorials are connected to either families of interest to me, The Hannes Eby Death and Burial Book, or Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery in Rothsville. I also try to add some of Old Warwick Township's hidden and vulnerable family cemeteries. Before I add a memorial I usually research it extensively.

PLEASE send ideas and corrections; I consider each suggestion as an opportunity to review the memorial and add what may be needed to complete a profile of the individual.

But since this is Find-a-GRAVE, I am loathe to link to "unknown" burials created outside Findagrave guidelines. I also am reluctant to add mothers' maiden names as assumed middle names. Consider that a personal prejudice since my grandfather was Charles K. Witwer, and if you asked him what the "K" stood for, he would say "nothing, just 'K'." (His mother's maiden name was Kring.)
