Since retiring I finally have found time to delve into family history research. The Internet has given up so much information. |
I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, and have been living in Nevada since 1986 when my husband, Steve, retired from the Air Force. So I find it just a wee bit difficult getting information on my ancestors back East.
Steve spent his childhood in North Dakota where his ancestors came from Minnesota and Iowa to homestead.
We are avid baseball fans. He's die-hard Chicago White Sox and I am always pulling for the Baltimore Orioles. We attend Spring Training games in Arizona.
The Steelers are our football team. Mark Martin is our favorite NASCAR driver and we were lucky enough to be at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to watch him win the Inaugural race in 1998.
Birdwatching is also one of our great loves. With the last name "Wrenn" how can it not be!!!
Our travels are crammed with so much to do. We include birdwatching, family history research, tromping through cemeteries, and visiting antique malls.
Hopefully, some day we will be in Ireland trying to locate from where Steve's folks came.
Check out our Virtual Cemeteries for some of our ancestors. Maybe you can help us locate other members we have yet to discover.
If I have entered wrong information on a memorial, please let me know. I am human and errors do happen.

No problem. I've done more than my share of them. I was looking for a different Juanita Norris (amazingly how many there are) and saw the duplication. Have a good holiday. Phyllis

I looked for your Rose Byers gravestone on Thanksgiving morning, but didn't find it. I did get a number of other Byers stones and finished posting them yesterday. There are maybe a dozen of the 3,000 Highspire gravestones too worn to read, but there were also a couple of dozen with inscriptions covered by snow. I won't be able to look again anytime soon, but hopefully somebody else will.

Pamela, I also posted pictures for Catharine and Sarah in case you didn't notice. You are welcome.

You're very welcome. Glad we could help. We looked for and did not find the other Byers that you requested. If they are buried near the other ones that we took, as their memorials indicate, then they have no markers. Maybe we overlooked them but I really don't think we did. We took photos of all the Byers that we saw, even the ones that were not requests.

You are welcome! Sorry that you had to wait for so long for some of those! It's about a 200 mile round trip and yesterday was nice - today not so much, 5-7 inches of snow expected. UGHH So yesterday was just a good outing day.
When we got to the cemetery and saw the size of it I was pretty dismayed BUT they had the burials listed and grave # so it turned out to be lots of fun until the wind started to blow 40 mph - then not so fun. We did make a dent in the requests for that cemetery.
Have a great week!

Hello again Pamela,
Thank you for your generosity in transferring:
Paul Richard Perrell
to my care.
With you help, I have successfully connected him with parents, siblings, wife and children. As I receive more information, I will add it to Our shared memorial.
With sincerest appreciation,
|Karen Smith||RE: Susannah Carbaugh|
No problem at all. Will be a few days...

You're welcome Pamela. So sad they built over the cemetery. I didn't even know there used to be a cemetery there until I read about it on Find A Grave. If you would like, I can take a photo of the location where it was. I know exactly where it is. I get over that way quite often.
