Bio and Links
Bio Photo I retired about five years ago and have found Find A Grave to be beneficial for my quality of life in retirement. It gives me purpose, exercise, and satisfaction. Family members and friends think I am somewhat weird to enjoy visiting cemeteries! They say, "What's the rush in getting there?" Little do they know the solace one gets in walking amongst the dead. It is a time of true reflection on one's life and of those who passed before us.

If I have made a duplicate, please forgive me as I try hard not to be guilty of that. Duplicators need to be treated with respect and compassion. Those however who are triplicators deserve condemnation and ridicule. (Like pelted with rubber bands and paper wads.)

I am like you in that I get warm fuzzy's when complimented and appreciated for my volunteerism. Sometimes I pat myself on the back and feel like I am earning my angel wings.

Seriously, what we are doing is of great value to others and those yet not born. Imagine someday people may be drinking coffee at the Planet Mars Cafe and reading your Find A Grave work! Now that brings tears to these old eyes.

I try to update and approve of my edit requests daily. Because I am unrelated to 99.9999% of the memorials I have entered, I rely on others to validate the accuracy. If you send me an update, I assume you are correct until proven wrong.

Thank you for caring about your family history and those who preceded us. An old proverb says "We live as long as we are remembered." And, old William Faulkner is noted for saying, "The past is never dead. It isn't even past." (Unsure what this fellow was talking about!)

Good luck to you in all you do...........

Larry :-)

Autumn Greetings to you
I don't like old man winter. I don't think you have to worry about a crisis coming for the lack of cemeteries. It does seems we have to worry about public officials that want to relocate cemetery inhabitants so they can build apartments and parks.

Have a happy Halloween.

Thank you.
Hello Larry, Thank you very much for processing the edits I sent just yesterday. I know you are ALWAYS dependable to get things done asap, but that was speedier than any overnight express.

Thank you friend.

Saint Paul, Sheldon
Hi, Larry,

I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself now that you've been edit-bombed. :) My husband and I decided on the spur of the moment to find Saint Paul's yesterday (I had failed twice before), and as long as we were there, we thought we'd take a few photos. The photo rate was 24% and one thing led to another and the next thing you know, we had photographed the entire cemetery.

I started to take a brief look at what was left, but honestly, I was fried by that time, so I didn't get far. I think we do have some dups there, and I know at least one was dumped there (I already found her real grave and notified the contributor), but I still have to go through them.

Mostly, I wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for all of your contributions which made the photographing go faster. For the most part, the memorials were accurate. I think I'm going to find some spelling errors in those without photos because I know that we took a pic of everything there.

Of course, some aren't great. The beautiful trees make photographing a challenge. But photos can be reshot for esthetic reasons. I'll never leave a grave without a photo, and I may well come back and reshoot it when I have some time on my hands.

So thanks for laying the groundwork for our successful walk yesterday. And THANK YOU for processing all those edits today. I am double checking my work now, so you may get a few more. My husband may be working on some of his, as well, but for the most part, the deluge is over.

Thanks for doing what you do with such skill and grace. It's definitely much appreciated!

Now back to St. Pat's when the weather stops acting like it's late November! :)

RE: Nasty!
Hiya Larry:
The wedding was absolutely beautiful and I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried buckets of tears throughout most of it.Good thing I don't wear make-up as I would of looked like a raccoon.

The 1st song they danced to was by Heartland called "I loved her 1st" and I bawled like a baby as that was the song that my daughter and Don had picked out for their "Father-daughter" dance but we all know that God had other plans for it ended up being the 1st song they danced to :=)
A friend of mine and Dons sang it and played his guitar while singing it :=)

I think my computer ate your email address or maybe it's still kinda drunk as Bud was accidentally spilled om it awhile back...

My bad

Can you send me an email so I'll have it again ?

Thank-you my sweet friend :=)

Have a great day,

~ Beth ~

YES! I did see the headstone was rescued! So wonderful! Also allowed us to discover that there were two previously unknown babies buried there. I see that you added most of Denney family memorials too! Can't thank you enough!

Thank you so much for being so prompt about updating Clara and her family's memorials.

Until last night, No one on Ancestry knew what had happened to my 3rd great-aunt. You've helped give her back to her family.

I appreciate all of your hard work.

Happy Labor Day!
