My particular areas of interest are Berks, Montgomery, Schuylkill, and Lehigh Counties in Pennsylvania.|
I may chose to reset my memorial which I find to be defaced with gaudy clip images. If you feel this information is vital send as a suggestion in digital format to add to the bio section.
Do not request a middle name be added unless it appears in a obituary/death/burial/birth record/tombstone. Mother's last names are seldom given as a middle name at baptism.

|gippygirl||RE: Henry Conrad|
I live in Pine Grove and will do further research, but currently hibernating due to the snowy weather. I am striving for accuracy.
I guess it depends on the War they were in or the family preference as I have seen many that do include this information. I did know that Pvt was short for Private and I guess I wasn't clear in my question on this. Basically, I was saying I didn't have a source of reference that showed he was a Private and wondered what the source was that showed that he was. I'm always looking for things like this to add - I just try to source the information. If you can tell me this I will gladly add it. Thanks so much for your interest.

Since I don't see this on his tombstone, can you tell me the source for his status of PVT?
|NancyM||RE: Reuben Hale|
I'm so glad you were creative for a means to respond. Thank you so much for the clarification about Reuben. Might I suggest that you add your comment to his memorial text?
It would be very helpful to others to know what you know:
"Reuben C Hale was 21 when he died and was attending college at the time. He died of diphtheria."

My Henry was born in 1789 and died May 14, 1841. I found his Veterans burial card and he is buried in St. Johns' Cemetery. Your Henry died in March and is buried in St. Peter's. So there were two with same name and the birth date of 2/8/1789 should be attributed to which one?
I am still confused which one was married to Elizabeth Kendall.
|gippygirl||RE: Conrad, Heinrich, Catharine & elizabeth|
She is not yet listed.
Elizabeth (Nee Kendall) Conrad wife of Henry W. Conrad born September 2, 1791 died January 12, 1852 age 60-4-10 buried in St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery in row 25, plot 41.
These are the church burial records. Henry and daughter Catharine are also listed in these records in the same row and plot. So before I add them to St. Johns I wanted to verify the info and found you had listed Henry and Catharine in St. Peter's.
Perhaps they were members of St. Peter's but buried in St. John's? Both churches were together at one time... Too cold and snow I can not go to the cemetery to find the tombstones in the same row and plot...

Would you please review and confirm that Heinrich 116448215, and his daughter Catharine 116448961 are buried in St. Peter's Cemetery in Pine Grove. I have information taken from St. John's Lutheran Cemetery Records in Pine Grove that they are buried in St. John's Lutheran along with Heinrich's wife Elizabeth. Please review and confirm.

The Sheidy photos I have from the Sheidy Family Genealogy that L. Erle Scheidy did back in the 50's. That Adam Lerch photo I got from a book I have about the founding and early years of Hain's Church up through the early 1900's. He was the driving force behind that book.
|Benny Nabors||RE: Anna Hunter|
Thanks Neil and forgot to mention in my first e-mail that of course he would credit you with the photograph. If I remember correctly, he always gives credit to the persons involved with all the photographs that he has not taken personally. Again Many thanks!!

I uploaded a photo of Adam G Lerch, buried at Hain's Cemetery. On a side note, I believe he is probably somehow related to the infamous Sarah Lerch, that married Jacob Sheidy. I say infamous cause it's been a source of frustration for the both of us trying to confirm her identity, parents, etc...It seems that entire clan of the Lerch family was from the Lower Heidelberg/State Hill area.
