Bio and Links
Bio Photo Most of my work is from "mowing the rows" in our local cemeteries or in those that are special to me when I get a chance to visit. I try to be very thorough in what I do post to this site. My favorite part of contributing to Find A Grave is walking the cemeteries and taking photos. ACCURATE cemetery documentation is very important, and this is why I do what I do.
I love to research and link families, and add biographical information - please use the Edit tab and send me any information you would like to have added, and I will add based on the rules for bios set in the Find A Grave FAQ's.
I transfer only within the four-generation
Find-A-Grave guidelines.
PLEASE carefully check the cemetery in which you want to list a memorial (it doesn't hurt to quickly check the county too) BEFORE you list it, as one may already exist for that person. Duplicate memorials for the same person, ("Dupes"), whether accidental or intentional, are not allowed by F-A-G. Duplicates erode the quality of this site and are problematic for many reasons. I will send you a friendly SAC if I see one.
It is very sad that quite a few contributors continue to misuse this site and post entries as permanent BURIAL UNKNOWN, both recent deaths and those 100 years ago or more.
This is Find A GRAVE, not a memorial site for generations of folks who have passed on and we do not know where they are buried, or for certain what happened to their remains.
I do not add entries for those with unknown dispositions (Burial Unknown) to Find A Grave. I also will not link my managed memorials to those without proper dispositions. Please do not link any BURIAL UNKNOWN entries to the memorials I manage; I will request the links to be removed if I become aware they have been linked.
PLEASE realize this is a GRAVES REGISTRATION SITE, not a place for you to build your family tree :) If you do not know where the person was buried, or the final disposition of the remains, you should not be listing the person on FIND A GRAVE.
The most recent FAQ's regarding the purpose of this site:
What is Find A Grave?
Find a Grave's mission is to find, record
and present final disposition information
from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience.

Memorial contributions to Find A Grave should fulfill that mission - registration
of the final disposition.
If the memorial contribution corresponds with only the
main mission, then the memorial fulfills its purpose as part of Find A Grave's mission.

Find a Grave memorials may contain rich content including pictures, biographies and more specific information. Members can
leave remembrances via ‘virtual flowers' on the memorials they visit, completing the virtual cemetery experience.

Find A Grave is a resource for anyone in finding the final disposition of family,
friends, and ‘famous' individuals.

Find A Grave is definitely a genealogical RESOURCE, but not a genealogical SITE..... There's a difference :)

I and Shawn asked Upper Laurel be merged with Shook . New burials in Shook say Upper Laurel in the obits mostly.. Upper Laurel maintains Shook but its two deeds of land. Find A Grave will not Merge so it will continue to be confusing and people will not be in the correct cemetery. I keep trying to get them in the correct one even though the obit says Upper Laurel. When I see your name I will delete mine . I went through a similar thing. Since you seem to know all the rules, what is the rule when this happens? I did move mine but a man we both know made me remove mine as I put it in the correct cemetery, Norman Wilson but he made his without knowing the cemetery and then put in in the correct cemetery after I put mine and he had an earlier date than me .It was very important to me as I had been a family member for years by friendship from 12 years old.. What is the rules there? Upper Laurel is a situation. New Burials mostly state in obits buried in Upper Laurel when buried in Shook. In this situation for you I would have just deleted mine as I am trying now to move them back to Shook after moving all to Upper Laurel. Its impossible to have them correct. I won't send any thing to you but corrections and I may skip that . I am still working on the correct cemetery and will be for some time. I accept corrections for you and maybe its time to get civil. Forget the past and work together.

Traci's Mom
Token you left for Traci Fields

Because of you and other wonderful findagrave friends, Traci now has 5,260 flowers/tokens, and her birthday is a little over a week away. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We appreciate you all so much.

I'm in awe! To show you more of what Traci was like, I posted the following on her memorial page,

"Traci, my angel, I can see the big grin on your face for all the flowers you're receiving on your memorial page. You're telling me, "Mom, why are you so surprised there are so many good people in this world? You should have known that....." "You're right, sweetheart, I should have known".

Traci was a person of strong faith, and GOD took excellent care of her, and helped her through all her hardships! Her faith never waivered.

GOD, bless them all, and thank you for your wonderful gift of Traci.

We've received an outpouring of so much love for Traci. I will try to get to everyone's site and leave a flower/token for at least one of their loved ones. However, there are so many of you, it will take me a while.

Record Hunter
You sent a message that there are duplicats in Oakway and Earles Grove cemeteries. Please contact and let them know and they will merge the two cemeteries or delete one, regards.

Infant(s) Johnson, Lilly Branch Cemetery
Karyn, with reference to your inquiry as to if memorials 93740314 and 93740304 are for the same person, the answer is no. This is supported by both the cemetery survey as well as the presence of separate death records for these individuals with different reference numbers. Regards, LG

Traci's Mom
Token you left for Traci Fields
Karyn, thank you very much for the token you left for my angel daughter Traci. She was a wonderful gift from GOD, and she's in my heart and mind every single day. Her passing has left major holes in the hearts of her family and friends.

I appreciate you helping to reach my goal of 5,000 tokens by her birthday, November 20th.

I'm thankful and blessed for your kindness. GOD bless you for your heavenly heart.

I am so overwhelmed with all the findagrave friends requesting flowers/tokens for my Traci. Thank you ever so much!

RE: Fender's Family Cemetery
Hi Karyn. You'll be happy to know, I've been submitting GPS coordinates for a number of cemeteries in the Madison County area including the ones near Foster Creek. I think I've done nearly 50 cemeteries so far. Fender's Family Cemetery will probably get updated tomorrow. Also I suggested that they change the cemetery name to match what was written on the entrance sign (Fender Cemetery). Maybe someday we'll get this mess straightened out. Thanks for helping out.

Thanks for spotting the "plop". This was someone my father knew, so I appreciate it.
