Bio and Links
Bio Photo Family research has been a part of my life for over 30 years. I do volunteer work at the LDS Family History Center located in my neighborhood even though I am not Mormon. I call myself the gentile librarian. I live on the west side of Houston in Katy. I was born in Waco, Texas and go there every few months to be with family. Many of my family members are buried in the Robinson Cemetery south of Waco going back to my great-great-grandmother. Growing up in Robinson, a farming community at the time, was a wonderful experience.

At the age of fifteen my parents and I moved to Texarkana, Texas. I completed high school and junior college in Texarkana. While attending UT my parents moved back to Robinson. I did six months of active duty in the Marine Corps and five and a half years in the reserve program. After completing the six months active duty, I moved to Houston, TX to seek my fortune. I would have to say my wife, children and grandchildren are my fortune. I am happily married and retired and have eight grandchildren which add joy to my life. If you think I can help you, feel free to contact me.

If you have any corrections or additions to a memorial, please let me know. If you would like for me to transfer a memorial, please let me know.

RE: William D. Baber, son of John and Mariah Baber
Bob,

No need to transfer, but thanks for the offer. I'm just glad you could tell the correct cemetery from the death certificate and got her linked to her dad.

Have a great weekend.

William D. Baber, son of John and Mariah Baber
Hi Bob,

Thanks for letting me know you linked William Baber to his father, John (#63348405).

I found a 1941 Texas death certificate for William's sister, Nancy Elizabeth Baber. Unfortunately, it looks like her burial place is given as a town, rather than the name of the cemetery. I'm not familiar with the Dallas area, so it didn't mean much to me.

William and his sister neither one ever married. I believe they lived together for their entire lives. It seems logical that Nancy would have been buried in the same cemetery as her brother. If you ever happen to come across any information to confirm that, please let me know.

Thanks again for your help!

Regards,
Lynn

Hi, I am a cousin of Pearl S. Hogan and a contributor of Find A Gave. I located a Houston Post article on the death and burial of Mr Hogan and I am willing to transcribe it but I've never done that before. How do you add an item? It is from 24 Jan 1916.

Annie Driver Thierry
Hi Robert,
I was thrilled to find the Find A Grave memorial for Annie Driver Thierry # 64018228. Aunt Annie was my dad's aunt. I would like to maintain the memorial, if you would be so kind as to transfer it to me.
Thanks for all your hard work, it is appreciated!

Lottie Bilton Stallings
Dear Robert,
Thanks for that additional research on the Bilton family and the wives/mothers! I have added many memorials for African Americans at First Street Cemetery and East Waco/Greenwood Cemetery. I recently ran across the Bilton name and wondered about the family in McLennan County. Unusual name for me. Small world you grew up near the Robinson Cemetery.
Good work!

156475576 Mary Lewis
Unfortunately this is not the Mary Lewis you are looking for...East Mount Calm did not open until 1924 or 1926 This MaRY lEWIS died in 1916 and was buried in the Bexar County Burial Ground on the site of the Bexar Co. home for the aged which was then dug up and moved again.....but I don't remember where.....

Sorry..Please delete from East mount calm.

Old Waco
Lottie Bilton Stallings
Greetings:
Your memorial has Lottie Bilton Stallings (born Feb. 2, 1900) linked to a mother named Mary Warren Bilton (born July 21, 1892).
Mary Bilton would have been 8 yrs old when she gave birth to this Lottie.
I suspect Mary isn't Lottie's mother or Mary's dates are in error.
Hope this clarifies my SAC.
Thanks!
