Researching Chet's family including McCaig, Hughes, Hooper, Carter & Wade and
my lines including Whitaker, Harrell, Douglas & St. Peters.
To honor the service of our veterans, we try to add memorials for those interred in Memphis National Cemetery and West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
We're also adding memorials for those associated with American Snuff Company (formerly Conwood Company), the former Kimberly-Clark Memphis Mill and Velsicol Chemical in Memphis.
To document the date and reason for transfers, and hopefully prevent deletion of memorials and the family squabbles we've previously experienced, to request transfer of a memorial, please leave a message here including the memorial name & number, and your relationship, name & member ID. (Remember the Find A Grave guidelines: Requests should be for direct relatives, within four generations, your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents.)
We are happy to make corrections or add details via the "Suggest A Correction" button on the memorial.
We have no intent of commercial or financial gain from posting information on this site. We do this solely as a service to others searching for family burial locations for personal or genealogy purposes.

Filmore Davis #16823525
Ellen Ruby Davis #16823449
Ellen Ruby Pettit Davis was my great aunt. Her brother Charles Roy Pettit was my grandfather. Ruby and Fil never had children of their own so I am hoping you would make an exception and let me have them. She helped raise my father Robert Ivan Pettit after the death of my grandmother when he was 11 years old.

Thank for the update on Bennie Williams. I updated the bio, was there a death date in June I missed? All I saw was a visitation day time.
|Southern Roots ღ||Maudie Lunia "Ivy" Isham Lacomb|
Maudie Lunia "Ivy" Isham Lacomb, memorial # 42377405, was my mother's first cousin.
If you're not related, and you wouldn't mind, would you please consider transferring the memorial to me? I would be more than happy to transfer this memorial to a closer family member upon request.

Thomas Dimitri Erdelyan (1941-1958), Find A Grave Memorial# 53603085, was my first cousin (a son of my motherís younger sister). His Memorial is being Transferred from the Creator, Carole McCaig, to: Grant H. Collar Jr, Find A Grave Member# 47246024 on about 6/16/2016.
|Donna Lynn McCaig||McCaig Family OK|
PLEASE do NOT go into OUR Family records in Letitia Cemetary, Oklahoma MCCAIG and falsify, change spellings siblings. We have never heard of you or Chet and we have no living relatives in Alabama. My cousins and I have spent the last 40 years researching our family and we are not happy with this practice.
|Carolyn Hebbe McLeod||Frances Evelyn Guinn|
Thank you very much for the transfer of this family member to me.

|Carolyn Hebbe McLeod||Frances Evelyn Guinn|
Frances Evelyn Guinn, memorial #109737181, was my 4th cousin from my Bishop family.
If she was not a member of your family, would you please consider transferring her memorial to me? I would transfer her memorial if I receive a request from a closer family member.
Thank you, Carolyn (47384868)
|Herbert Rickards||Tom Lee|
I just sponsored your Tom Lee memorial who is buried at the MT Carmel Cemetery in Memphis TN and in my humble opinion this man should be placed in the "Famous" section of Find A Grave. I think you should think about changing the "not famous" section to "Famous" as this man did more to save many lives than any elected politician who gets into the famous section just because they got elected.
Just my humble opinion
