Bio Photo I quess I have always believed to know where you are going you need to know where you came from. Not knowing any of my grand-parents growing up, I began doing research for some twenty years now. Through honor and respect for them I have reached back in time, for example, to my 90th great-grandparents on my Mother's side. I search as much as I can, when I can and apply some of my findings on Find A Grave-so please remember Pay it Forward.

Proufound Thanks!
I want to personally thank you for providing a photo of a grave I have seen only once in my life! It is my dad, William Byron Blair, Sr. God bless you for your work!

RE: Poepping/Schaefer
Ok, I think have it figured out. The pic must be of my grandpa's son Bernard Jr. His wife's maiden name was Pickenbrook. Back then their spelling was poor and any spelling worked, at least for them because they knew who they meant. For us it made our work cut out trying to figure it all out. I got your message and just had to get back to or I would be awake all night. Thanks again

RE: Poepping/Schaefer
My tree has the family well covered on the Schaefer side and I never heard those names. Grandma Schaefer's maiden name was Heyne and it could be they are related by marriage. The names are not in our direct line. I am the only family historian and all the ones I knew have passed. Bernard was my great grandpa. He did have a half brother, but I know very little about him. I found them in an orphan's home late 1860. Their mom & step dad died shortly after arriving in the US. Bernard was using his step dads surname. I will now be on a quest for those names. Thanks

Are you related to William and Elizabeth Walker? It seems I am. Please contact me if you would like to share Walker family history or story of Chitwood/ McDonald Cemetery, which must be very interesting.
