9-27-14. I'm HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL NOW. MY ON LINE TIME WILL BE LIMITIED FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS.|
Most Ft. Snelling interments of servicemen and their families I have added I didn't know personally. I add head stone photos and a token/note when possible. I do this to honor the men and their families. I want to give their pages something more than just a name and a date.
"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."
I'm from Minneapolis, MN and have lived in this area all my life. I'm a proud veteran and spent 3 years in the army and I served two tours of duty in Viet Nam, (late 1969-1972.) I was wounded twice. I was assigned to The First Cavalry Division and was in the infantry and then a combat engineer & operated a bulldozer & later I was assigned to aviation and was a crew chief/door gunner on a UH-1 Huey helicopter. I'm a recipient of the Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts, two Air Medals, two Commendation Medals, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Aircraft Crewman Wings, & a Marksman Rifle Medal.
I'm a former local truck driver of 35 years and a former part time fire photographer for seven years. I was forced to retire in 2004 due to back problems. Now I spend time listing interments. I fill photo requests for Fort Snelling National Cemetery. If you see ANY FT. Snelling memorials with a mistake or missing plots & sections or need a spouse/parents links added please let me know and I will get it corrected or updated.
I do appreciate you visiting Aaron's memorial and for all of your kind words. Thank you so much. It has helped a lot with the passing of my beloved Aaron. Aaron was a blessing and I miss him so much.
If you see anything that I have submitted that needs correction, please let me know. I will be happy to correct it.

I was so surprised. The pictuers are just the way I remebered. Thanks for being a true patriot.
Steve, I am so glad you are finally home and wish you a full recovery. You were/are missed. I have been concerned that this took so long for you to be released. I hope things are much better and you are not in pain.

Thanking God that you are recovering from your surgery finally!!!
That cemetery photo you took of Fort Snelling is the best cemetery photo I have ever seen. Imagine getting one with a rainbow.

I also would like to thank you for putting such a beautiful photo online. It is simply gorgeous. Thank you for taking the photos of individual markers. I found one of a relative I have been researching. Hope you will be able to do even more that you wish to do after your surgery.
|ssleuthjan||all good wishes|
Love your photo of the cemetery there at Fort Snelling! Hope all goes well for you with surgery and look forward to seeing if you can fulfill my photo request for Thomas E. Wheaton when you're back on your feet.
Thank you for taking the time to fill my requests. Your photos always look top notch. Thank you again.

Thank you ever so much of posting the pictures of my parents headstones.
I have been looking at your son's web page, it's very nice. You did an amazing job and I'm sure Aaron is very proud of you.
You have inspired me to go to a cemetery where I live and fulfill two requests of headstones.
|Suzanne Somodi Jimenez||Thank you!|
Once again, I thank you for the beautiful photo of Edward Kuppe's headstone. I have to tell you, I think it is just incredible that people like you just keep going out and taking these photos for people like me who will, most likely, never get the chance to actually go to these far away cemeteries.
Thank you so very much!

Thank you so much for taking the picture of Amelia and Esther Bateman's grave at Fort Snelling. Can't believe how quickly you did so. Your webpage for your son is very touching. I am very sorry for your loss but what a great way to honor maintain his memory. Best wishes to you.
