If you are MORE closely related to any of our relatives that I have memorialized, PLEASE let me know, so I can transfer the memorial to you. These memorials are only in my temporary care until you claim them. I hereby give up any claim to copyright that I may have to anything posted to memorials I have made. You don't need to give me credit if you use it. This information should be in the public domain anyway. We all have to work together because it is so easy to make an error - so many ways!!!! We have all been there. Happy sleuthing

Thank you for reaching out to me. First of all, I'm very new to geneology, and to 'Find A Grave' as well. I don't know very much about how it works, but I'm happy to be able to find so much good information. And yes, I sponsored Estelle Hooper who is my grandmother. I'd be happy for you to transfer it to me, although I'm not really sure what that means :)
We are indeed related by way of our great grandfather Richard. I am related via Richard->James M (Sr)-->James M (Jr)-->Oscar-->Hilton-->Raymon. I am the firstborn of my generation, and we have only my sons to carry on this branch of the Hooper name.
I am guessing that you are a descendant of Elizabeth Hooper-William Sanders?
Great to hear from you! Please pass along any additional tips or knowledge that you have of my branch of Hoopers!

Thank you for the information you've posted about my great-great-great-great grandfather Capt. Richard Hooper. I've become interested in ancestry literally overnight, and was excited to find so much online about my relatives. My grandfather, Hilton Hooper, was also interested in geneology and he has left me with a stack of material that I am trying to sift through. I have some information about what appears to be your ancestor, Richard H Sanders b oct. 13, 1827...again, I am sifting through all of this, trying to make heads or tails out of it.
I see that you have been to the Hooper-May cemetery in Shelbyville, TX. I am only about 2 hours away and would like to go over there. From the pictures, it appears that the gate is locked. Do you know if there is a way to access it?
Thank you so much,

|JAKE||Harley E. Sanders of Texas|
I am trying to locate the graves of Harley's parents who may have died in Kansas.
Sarah S. Tichner (Teachner, Ticknor) was the daughter of Permelia Mabie and John W. Tichner.
Permelia Mabie was the daughter of Jeremiah D. Mabie and Eunice Dibble. Jeremiah Mabie was an 1812 Veteran buried in Washington State.
I am trying to find any additional information on this Mabie & Tichner lines.
