The permanent maker is in place.

Do you need a copy?

Susan,

I found Lucille's headstone, but there is no tab with her name and dates on it. I took a photo of the headstone and posted it. There were three double headstones in the lot in the name of Pfeiffer, her maiden name. Only four of the spaces were used. All of the used spaces had memorials and photos. Sorry I could not be more help.

When the wife is buried before the husband/veteran, his name is put on the marker with no dates (indicating he survives), and hers is put on the marker with dates (indicating she is the spouse of the veteran not a veteran herself, in this case).

Once the vet dies they redo the marker and add his dates and service. In the case of creamation, a temporary tag is added to the existing marker until the new marker is ready. If it is an inground burial, a temporary marker is placed in front of the permanent marker. The spouse info on the obverse will be amended to delete the "wife of", and vets name as his dates and service will now appear on the front of the marker.

see Memorial# 12408414 and spouse
see Memorial# 159260052 and spouse

In six weeks or maybe more (sometimes it takes awhile) you will see another photo added with the new permanent marker.

Hope this helps. Cara

RE: Albert b.
No, the father is with Albert, Jr., but there is no headstone. I will go back and take a photo of the area so you have something on the memorial. My mistake.

Susan, I ptook a photo of the area. There was no headstone for him, just Albert, Jr. I thought I posted it. I will check on that and if not I will get it done soonest. Sorry.

I checked this morning, there is no listing for him at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. There is no listing at any national cemetery, sorry, I am unable to help you. Good luck with your search.

RE: Decker
Susan, that's easy they are all at Evergreen in Oakland. That's the only place I have taken marker photos.

RE: Decker
Susan, I went and made memorials for the Decker marker photos that I had. Maybe you will find a connection somewhere.
