Thanks very much!

Thanks for the update. Glad to see things have been righted.

You have an entry for Annie Bannister indicating she is buried in the Forney Hillcrest Cemetery. She is listed in another record as being buried in Restland Cemetery in Dallas, which matches her death certificate. Can you investigate and delete the Hillcrest record if you agree that it is incorrect? Thanks very much!

That is a good question, for which I don't have an answer. However, I have found news items for events in many other parts of Texas and even out of state in the Victoria paper, so they must have had access to other papers and took news items to fill some of their pages.

You are currently in charge of managing the record for Mary Lettie Carey in Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney. I am a member of the Carey family, and most of your records there I may be able to help you with. I am fine if you continue to manage them, and I will give you info for them if you wish. You can also transfer them to me if you find it easier.
But I did want to give you info that Mary's date of death is November 4, 2013. It is not on her headstone yet, so I thought I would help with that part. Thanks so much for keeping this record for us. We appreciate you for all you do.

My guess is that he married Miss Sammy Matthews late in life. I think she had no children. Her family was very well known in Carthage.

I am responding to a question I saw you post on another persons wall about the grave of Sam Brown in Carthage TX Odd Fellows Cemetery.
He is buried in the Matthews family plot next to Mrs Sammy Matthews Brown. She is the namesake of the Sammy Brown Library in carthage. It seems he was probably her husband, but I am not sure.
SB OR SAM B BROWN WAS MARRIED TO SAMMY MATTHEWS BROWN AND ARE BURIED IN THE MATTHEWS FAMILY PLOT NEXT TO HER MOM, DAD AND BROTHER.
