I find entering bio's and photo's and such for my family members relaxing. Nothing like a good romp in a cemetery to top off my day. |
I am currently recording Sherwood Cemetery in Sherwood, MI. I am also adding a little info about the people buried there when I can find it. I am finding my information from Death Certificates on Seekingmichigan.com, Gendis.com, and sometimes the census. I also have copies of the "History of Branch County" where I may find a little info on my people. I hope this helps someone with their research and in finding their lost family members. Thank you to everyone who is leaving tokens for these people. To my knowledge I am not realated to anyone in this cemetery, but I feel like they are my family now.
I think this says it all:
They say that life is fleeting,I know that this is true.I left this world so quickly, With no goodbye to you. I know how much you miss me, Your tears fall ever light. The pillow where you lay your head, Is wet with them at night. I know your heart is hurting, The words we left, unsaid. I love you's left unspoken Are spinning in your head.The strength that I have carried, That served to make you whole. Remains to make you stronger, Within your grieving soul. For you see, while you were weeping On the day I passed away, At the gravesite near the flowers Where my loved ones knelt to pray. An angel came to see me, She took me by the hand, She led me to a kingdom In a very distant land. As I look down from the heaven, And see you standing there Your heart so ever burdened With more weight than it can bear. I long to bring you comfort, I long to give you peace, I long to hold you closely, Cause all your tears to cease. The joy I've found in heaven Goes far beyond compare. The love that's so elusive, Can be found here everywhere. The light is softly shining. There's no storm clouds here or rain. There's no tear drops found in heaven. There's no suffering, there's no pain. You needn't be so troubled, Stay close to God and pray That someday we'll be together, One bright and glorious day. So my love, you shouldn't question My dear you need not cry I've gone to be with Jesus I really didn't die.

Dena, I see you have several of my ancestors listed for New Bethel Corner Cemetery, Berks Co., PA but you live in Michgan? I cannot find the dates or parents, spouses, etc for these and photo requests are already requested so is there ANYTHING more you can tell me about them? I would like the transfer of them to work on them if you are willing. These are stumbling blocks and I have a professional researcher now helping me with this. Would you be willing to transfer them to me? I am trying to get the physical address of this cemetery so that we can have someone go out and try to find these and take their grave photos. Appreciate it if you can help or will transfer to me. THANK YOU! SM Find A Grave#47765800

|Becky R||David Morgan Cemetery|
Just thought you would appreciate an update. The Stephen Morgan home near the David Morgan Cemetery is now on the National Register of Historic Places. The current owner is restoring it and, I believe, is now living in it. You can look up the application form for the registration on Wikipedia and search Marion Co. WV. At the end of the brief description is a link to the original application.
I now own adjacent property on which is located the monument marking the site of David Morgan's historic fight with two Delaware Indians in 1779.
