|Recently I have started tracing my family tree, and in searching for the burial locations for my ancestors my family and I have found a fun and enjoyable hobby. My nine year old daughter views it as a treasure hunt. She even wants her own camera so she can take pictures by herself instead of using/sharing mine. Now as we go through towns she asks if there are any cemeteries that we need to stop at.|
My favorite "treasure" that we have found was by accident. While searching through a rather large cemetery for a distant relative we found my grandfather. He had been killed in a car accident two weeks before my mother was born. I never knew when, how or where he died until I started tracing my family, and no-one was left who could remember where he was buried. At first when I saw the headstone I thought it was my uncle, as he was a junior, but I just kept looking at the date and knew that it wasn't right. Finally it dawned on me who he was.
I hope everyone out there is having just as much fun as we are. Good luck in your treasure hunting.

|R. Lipprandt||Question of birth|
First off, thank you for undertaking what you do, even though at times, it is a thankless volunteer duty.
In my question of birth, in particular Clark County, Wisconsin regarding those that lived in a rural setting and were not born in a village or city. Is there any way to include a township? Three of my siblings were born in Town Green Grove. The nearest village or city would be Curtiss (which is town Hoard or town Mayville) or Colby (which is town Colby, Clark County or town Hull, Marathon County). If entering Curtiss or Colby, the information would not be correct!
This also applies to my grand and great grandparents who were either born in Prussia or Kingdom of present day Germany. All were born before 1871 so entering Germany as their birthplace would also be incorrect information. 1871 was the year that Germany became official as a country.
Your thoughts please?

|Deb Hanson||Photo request for Frank Little|
I took the photo for 74630375 It was my very first one, I have learned since then that I should have added the headstones near by do to the fact Frank Little and the other 4 people there have no head stones. Please let me know if you want a new photo, I will be more then happy to do it. Also do you know if he is a vet?

Just wanted to thank you for all the edit work I sent your way (sorry, but I appreciate it all so very much). Did all the genealogy of my Dad's family years ago, and finally got out there to photograph. Those were my main ancestors; I did take pictures of everyone else, as well--so many are relatives. Don't worry, I won't send as many edits:)
Thank You!!!! Best of luck.
