I am working on maintaining Middlesex (Map), Essex (Map) and Suffolk (Map) counties in Massachusetts.|
If any information I enter is incorrect, you wish to add something, or would like a direct relative within four generations transferred just let me know. (per F.A.G. guidelines FAQ79) If requesting a transfer please make sure to say how you are related.
Please use the 'Edit' tab on the upper right hand corner of the memorial for any of the above requests. Thank-you.
This is Find A GRAVE. Please do not ask me to link to 'burial unknowns'. I will be more than happy to do so when the location is found. Take a moment to read FAQ146 regarding unknown burials.
In case you do not wish to read FAQ146 it states "Location of body unknown is used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition must be determined and updated within 30 days."

Thanks for understanding, Denise. I'm saving your email for the John Davies duplicate. If I don't find anything new with my visit, I'll remove my Forest Cemetery listing, ASAP. I do want to check the library there, also.
|Bernadette||Hannah Davis in Forest Cemetery|
Hi. I deleted the memorial, however, I have two sources - one a family Bible - giving the Forest cemetery as her burial site. I'll be there on Spring Break and plan to check out both cemeteries thoroughly as there are two different books for Acton Vital Records and they give different cemeteries. I suspect the Woodlawn stone is a cenotaph and her actual remains are at Forest Cemetery.
|Paul Whidden||RE: Cyrus Stockwell 2|
I had seen the other (actual) grave site but had decided to use the cenotaph since you already had his child, Laura M Stockwell, linked there.
I have changed Cyrus (ceno) to Cyrus (real). I also changed my pending links to his children Orville and Nettie that hadn't been processed yet.
Finally, I submitted a change for Laura M Stockwell from Cenotaph to the real burial site.
I think there are 4 different owners for the 5 memorials involved in this family linking. Hopefully it will all be processed in the next couple of weeks.

Please do take your time about this. You have created a lovely website that reflects the hours of work that you've put into it. Given that, I would be shocked (and dismayed) if you just took my word for it!!!
With regards to the information about the marriage, I discovered after I sent your the email that it is shown occurring in both places in the records on Ancestry. That sometimes happens, as I'm sure you know.
Also, the information about Thomas Sr.'s father being John Read is shown in his death record--the one written out in longhand and one of the others--in the Massachusetts Vital Records.
Hope that saves you some time!
Thanks for responding, and thanks for all the work you have done for my ancestors and their descendants!

I haven't been on here in a long time and am belatedly responding to your message. There is no need to apologize for sending information. I had asked if you had additional information because my experience has taught me that the transcribed textual vital records have errors (like all transcribed records) and I didn't know if you were researching the Arlington families for whom you submitted edits in additional records, had checked original records for them, etc. That's all. Thank you for sending the information--Liz

OMG, thank you for catching that. I sure wish the probate would give her death date and her husband's name. All it says is that she is a widow. Yes, please leave it out for now. Again, thanks for spotting my error.
|Zoe Tom||More abt Thomas Dutton|
I have a very important old family book, one of a kind, hand written, where some of Benjamin's descendants are noted. Have any suggestions as to where I should donate it, so that it can best help researchers looking for info. abt the Dutton descendants? Zoe

Thanks for the info. I will call the cemetery for more info. Do you have a phone number for any other historical group that I should call to try to figure out where Thomas actually is, like the Billerica Historic Commission ?

Have you found many instances where someone was supposed to be buried in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, but that person isn't included in the Veterans Administration gravesite locator database?
|Debbie||RE: Arthur Jacobson|
You're most welcome, Denise. Glad I could be of help. The obituary came from the Bismarck Tribune at http://bismarcktribune.com/news/obituaries/
re: Thank you so much for sending Arthurs obituary. He was my uncle. I live in Massachusetts so did not get to see it. Was this published in the local paper? or was this from the funeral home? Denise.
