I was born in Northeastern Ohio, but I have lived in Mass. many years. I have been doing genealogy since 1961. It is a wonderful hobby and it pleases me if I am able to help someone find family or friends they have been searching for.|
My special interest is in finding and making Memorials for Civil War Veterans. Much of the information for Beverly's (MA) Central Cemetery has been provided by Dan Driscoll, friend and Volunteer Genealogist at Beverly City Hall.
Beverly Sexton has been of great help to me in the Bedford-Macedonia Cemeteries, Ohio.
Please notify me of any additions or corrections. I'll be happy to oblige.
One thing- Photos of people that I have posted are meant to be enjoyed. I would appreciate it if you would avoid posting them to other internet sites.

Could you please link Morgan (# 71469649) and his wife, Laura (#71469781)? They are buried together in Bedford Cemetery, Bedford, Cuyahoga Co, OH. (Section 3, Lot 20, Graves 1 and 2.)
Thank you for your help, now and in the past, as well.
Regards, Tunie (# 46536984)

Thank you so much for adding these grave markers to the site. My Arnolds are finally fitting together in my tree after many many years of looking for my great grandmothers parents. Thank you for all you have added to help others.
Obituary added to his bio. Thanks for the information.

|Barry Gates||Re Ethan Allen|
Last question, was Ethan Allen a ship, or a location (Ethan Allen valley, perhaps?). I may have assumed the former in earlier correspondence. Draft Registration records him as "(ditto) (ditto) [in the] Ethan Allen", with other names such as "in the Comstock", "in the Montana", etc., coming to fore. Still he was a mariner, and was recorded with many fellow mariners. So I remain unsure unless you can tip this.
His 2nd wife was a 1st cousin to my wife's ancestors (Tufts, McJannets, Greens, Withams, of Rockport and Gloucester). I started out on this gentleman as a disinterested, but challenge-inspired, graver, who took a picture because it was a veteran grave near others of my own ancestors, and ended up with my usual genealogical interest coming to bear, at the end, anyway. :-)
Best regards again, (I always say hi to Dan D., too!) Barry
|Barry Gates||John Edward Stickney|
I've separated J. Edwin (USA) from J. Edward (USN). Also his company was originally intended for Mass 17th Regt, but instead became Mass 14th Regt Inf, which became Mass 1st Hvy Art (as a company, if not a regiment?). Thus the confusion as to which regiment J. Edwin was in. I'm going to send this as a message to Tom, who maintain's J. Edwin, as well. Regards, Barry.
