Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching my family history since 1999, especially my Huntoon Family History. The Huntoon's date back to the 1600's starting in New Hampshire. Living in Massachusetts has made it especially easier and obtainable to do the research. My goal is to memorialize and link as many ancestors as possible and bring to life their past lives, not as just names and dates, but as individuals who made possible, my life as it is today. Many FAG volunteers have contributed greatly toward my goal and I appreciate their time and effort. Thank you to everyone who has made this site possible and ongoing.

RE: Almira Huntoon Thurston
It was our pleasure to find them. The Section and Lot information makes it a breeze, as we have cemetery maps that go into that level of detail. We were able to work through 24 requests yesterday in 90 minutes. So, request away! With Section and Lot, we can accomplish a great deal. I think we are adding over 14 Greeleys from this latest trip! Gale Edits
Hi Debbie, I received your request to add Abraham Gale and Abigail Rice as the parents of Betsey Gale Whipple. Abigail is the mother of Betsey but the Abraham Gale shown on Find A Grave is not the father of Betsey nor the wife of Abigail. The Abraham Gale who married Abigail Rice in 1768 was born 29 Jul 1745 in Sutton, MA to Josiah Gale and Elizabeth Chadwick. He did die Sep 1829 in Alstead, NH. The Abraham listed is the wrong Abraham and the siblings listed are not the siblings of the Abraham who married Abiagil Rice. The correct Abraham and his brother Henry were involved in Shays Rebellion. This information can be found at pg 76. I also have a copy of the bible record for Josiah Gale and Elizabeth Chadwick which list their children. I would make the changes if the information was correct.

RE: Cynthia Whitney Mason
Great! Glad to know there are a few of us working on them. There are so many unrecorded. I figured they would have been all done by now. A number of the memorials that had been done quite some time ago were recorded in the wrong cemetery. It seems like Center and Village get mixed up quite frequently. If you ever want to get together and team up to get either of them worked on give me a shout. It would be nice to see all of the Shirley residents remembered and searchable for family members looking and seemed like quite a project until I found out others are in the area! I've also been using my membership and to verify residents and dates so if you have one you can't figure out let me know. I've been pretty fortunate to have been able to find info on most. Haven't had any luck with contacting the town for any records or info though. A few people I took photos for had email the town with no response. Seems like they don't have a volunteer to sort through the emails.

Cynthia Whitney Mason
Hello Debbie,
I live right near the Village Cemetery in Shirley and am in there frequently(a few times a week) trying to get everyone recorded that is in there. There were and still are many unrecorded graves. I noticed you added the Mason Family. Cynthia's (152837900) parents are listed on the back of the Mason stone. I wasn't sure if you had gotten a photo of that or if you may not have seen them there. If you would like the photo for them let me know and I can email it to you. I didn't want to set them up if you were related and working on your tree and just hadn't gotten to them yet. If you don't want to or aren't interested in setting them up let me know & I'll get them entered & linked.
Nice to see there are people over there working on Village too!

Huntoon ancestors
Greetings..... I am also a Huntoon descendant, Charles Huntoon II, son Samuel, son John Brocklebank Huntoon, etc... I have done extensive research on the Huntoons of Vermont who removed to Wisconsin around 1860; I recently applied for and was accepted into Sons of the American Revolution using Charles II as my gateway ancestor. Nice that you made a memorial page for him, thanks. Robert

Photo Request

You have requested a photo for Elizabeth Steen #127977394. This memorial is in the wrong cemetery. She already has a memorial in the correct cemetery with photos #138504414.
I contacted the manager of the memorial in the wrong cemetery, letting him know of this issue.

I'm going to delete your photo request because of this.

RE: Hartford kids
Oh you are more than welcome. Solving puzzles is fun and genealogy certainly presents a lot of puzzles.

Were you just looking for the Huntoons or are you gathering the Harfords too? I just entered Stephen Hartford's father, Stephen, and his two wives; and his brother Shadrick, and his two wives in Wilder Cemetery.

Stephen Sr died in 1849 a couple weeks after little Lennetta. They both died of Dropsy (Edema) ... and little Albion died of Canker Rash (Scarlet Fever), if you want to add that to the kids memorials.

I will keep an eye out in Summer Street for Park or Parks... and see if Etta is there with him, which would make sense.
