The cemeteries are one of the best ways to gather information such as birth/death dates, marriage dates, spouse's name, family members, etc. This site has been a treasure box for us, we hope to give back a little information in return. |
Only a genealogist can appreciate the excitement of finding a picture of that ancestor or their marker.
Additional information & or corrections are welcome.
Will be glad to transfer any memorial, unless it is one of our family.

Thank you for the Murphy transfers! I really appreciate it!

I went back and looked at the 1880 census entry on ancestry.com. At that time Sarah would have been 11 months old. There is a child on it that is listed as 9 months old by the name of Luarka E. However, upon further inspection of the document itself it actually looks like the person who enumerated it wrote down Lucinda E twice, and the handwriting was so sloppy that the person who digitized the record just guessed the name Luarka instead of realizing it was Lucinda again. That, accompanied by the fact that you're saying the cemetery records say Holman is Sarah's father has to be proof enough. Thanks for giving me reason to go back and inspect the census!

You have created a memorial page and posted a picture for William Bradley Find A Grave #95475099. I would like to ask permission to use the photo on my tree, and ask if you would transfer the memorial to me.
He is a cousin to me, and I have been searching for where he and his wife were buried for a long time. Thank you for the post and picture.
My Find A Grave# is 47721032.

Thank you for your reply! I'm bummed that James isn't beside his wife, I'm not sure what happened with that. I looked at the A.C. Quillin you mentioned, and he is not related to Sarah. Augustus Quillin's parents are Holman and Mary, and although Sarah's memorial says they are her parents also I have researched them and can find no connection. I have an 1880 census that shows Augustus, but not Sarah. She would have been 1 in 1880 and the census doesn't list her, it lists two other children with drastically different names ages 9 months and 2 years old. So the search continues. Thanks again for your response. Happy New Year.

Hi, you posted a headstone photo on Sarah Murphy's memorial (62417640). Her husband, James Henry Murphy didn't have a findagrave memorial so I created one, but I don't have any records telling where he's buried. If you snapped Sarah's headstone picture could you possibly go see if James is beside her and post a photo of his headstone? His memorial is 174970400. I really appreciate your help!

I'm not sure the photo that was placed on this memorial matches the information provided in the memorial

If you are not related, could you transfer my uncle Coy Zumwalt's memorial (#61995290) to me? Thanks,
