|Kimberly D. Christie-Edgin||How to I have a name corrected|
New to Find a Grave. I was tracking Mallie Nichols Edgin when I found her on this site. However, Her name was listed as Mollie instead of Mallie. She is listed as having an unmarked grave. I'd like to find it and the information that led to her being listed on this site. How the person that listed her knew what cemetery she was in. I don't think they knew too much about her as her name was put in wrong (although I guess that could have just been a typo). Thanks in advance for any information. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
|Kimberly D. Christie-Edgin||Sorry to trouble you but I think you can help|
I am trying to reach account JKB listed as your friend. They posted and unmarked grave for Mollie Edgin (it is actually Mallie). I'm trying to find out where they got their information and where I might get more. How I might actually find the unmarked grave. However, their messaging is turned off. I was hoping yo could put us in touch with each other. My email is email@example.com
Thank you for your time.
|mcculleykin||RE: R Vernon Phillips initials & birth|
According to his WWI & WWII draft registrations, R Vernon Phillips (Memorial# 62920635) signed his full name as "R. O. Vernon Phillips." I have been unable, thus far, to learn what the 'R. O.' initials stood for. Both registrations list his birth date as July 22, 1898. His WWII draft registration shows that he was born in Drew Co., AR. These 2 draft registrations are available at family search.org.
That is the way I found it on the Jefferson County, Arkansas Archives page. Sorry I can not fill in the blanks...

|Carlin Smith||Grant County Cemetery Book|
Is the grant County Cemetery Book a published book? Is it a non-published private book in a Library or is it part of someone's private collection?
|Carlin Smith||Lewis Cass Smith|
Thanks for the very quick response!! The find-a-grave memorial # for the record I am looking at is 14185101.
|Carlin Smith||Been looking for 70+ years|
I have an ancestor that my family has been trying to track down for years and years. He was Henry William Smith. He was murdered by Elijah Yarbrough in Carroll County Georgia on Oct 27 1874 (cannot find a tombstone) just outside of Bowdon. He was briefly married to Sophronia P Beck where he fathered 1 baby boy Lonzo Smith.
Henry's brother Lewis C Smith also married Sophronia's sister Virginia Beck. Shortly after Henry William Smith died, the Becks (John McDuffy Beck) including divorced Sophronia and her son Lonzo Smith, and Lewis C Smith and Virginia Beck all moved to Arkansas. Lonzo had a son named Carlin. Carlin had Troy. Troy had me, Carlin.
We've been searching for info on the origins of the 4 Smith boys that married 4 Beck girls for 70+ years now. We always believed that Lonzo was an illegitimate child until recently when we found a marriage record for Henry William and Sophronia.
Why am I asking you about all this?? Well, you see -- you have a friend associated with your account JKB. He posted a picture of a gravestone for the Lewis C Smith noted above - the brother of my ancestor Henry William Smith. He also noted that the parents of Lewis C were William and Martha. I was wondering where he got that information and if he had a source.... but his messaging is turned off and you are 1 of his few friends... I am hoping you know him personally and can put me in touch with him? my email address is firstname.lastname@example.org
|cully52||Find A Grave Memorial# 76208989|
Crystal: It is not known if she is, in fact, buried in that cemetery. Her husband (Beverly A. Cogbill) and his second wife (Sarah "Sallie" Holloway) are buried there according to their obituaries. We have not found an obituary or other burial record for Beverly's first wife, S.F. Derrisseaux.

|cully52||Sarah F Derrisseaux Cogbill|
Find A Grave Memorial# 76208989
Sarah F Derrisseaux Cogbill
Will you please change her page to read "S.F. Derrisseaux". There have been no records found with Sarah as her name. It is simply S.F. on her marriage record. It could be Sophie or Susan or Sybil or any other name beginning with the letter S. Once "Sarah" is removed as the name with Derrisseaux, her memorial page will be correct on findagrave. Thank you.
