Carroll & Shelby Co KY: Bohannon, Brightwell, Hoggins, Penn, Montgomery, Lewis.
Genealogy is my real interest, seems I never have enough time to work on it. I Love researching and discovering a new ancestor or more information in the puzzle. I find cemeteries to be peaceful (hopefully they are) and am intrigued by the stones and always want to know more about the person.
Thanks to those who put information and photos here, it is a huge help!

|Bill Davis||RE: Gallatin Co cemeteries|
Two years ago my cousin Retta told me the Shields family that lives around the Montgomery Cemetery was taking care of it. I assume that would be Randall Shields, address servers give his address as 1630 Montgomery Rd, Ghent, KY 41045-9064. They list a number of Shields households around there, including on the Shields Lane that runs next to the cemetery. I don't know anything about the Knox-Lillard / Drury Chapel Cemetery. Until I saw your pictures, I didn't know where it was.

My wife and I plan on going down the next nice day to Holiday. I did go to Big Cedar and James cemetery's.
I have posted a picture of Margaret VanCamp Eldon to her findagrave memorial and the obituary as well.
I found those items with the Wynn and Eldon Bible I have a copy of. Can you give me your email and I will send things along to you..
I am not sure how far you have gone back on the Edlon family but his bible records births and deaths back to the early 1700s and it appears the Eldons married into the "Terry" family in England.
Have a great day
Dave and family
|David Kennedy||RE: Eldon Family|
Thank you for the directions to the Holiday cemetery it is much appreciated.
There is a lot of Eldon and Wynn connections and I will get all the things together for you, I also know that John Eldon who married Isabella Wynn was mentioned in the will for His father inlaw James Wynn. and I have the copy of the old bible I will send all Eldon data..
I sure appreciate you folks helping..

So sorry but I see you are related to the Eldon family? The Eldon and Wynn family are close related in England and in Franklin co Indiana and I have copy of a Old Wynn Bible that has all the Eldon and Wynn births and deaths and marriages listed..
Hope to hear back,
|David Kennedy||Quick Cemetery|
I have a Big favor to ask you! Can you please give me the location of the Quick-Shank cemetery? If you can tell me how to get there from Brookville I would be forever in debt to you.
I am related to most of the folks in the cemetery and My wife and I would love to go there to see it.
Also do you know where the Holliday cemetery is located? I have asked a Ivasue ? for the directions 2 times and she has ignored my request..
Please Help me find this family cemetery

|Paul Reichenbacher||RE: Newkirks Buried in Little Cedar Cemetery|
Hi Diane, Thank you for your quick reply and the link to Franklin County cemeteries. That database shows a Little Cedar Baptist Cemetery and a Little Cedar Grove Public Cemetery, but neither notes burials of people named Newkirk. These ancestors of mine likely are buried there, but 175 years' weather has taken its toll on their markers.
|Paul Reichenbacher||Newkirks Buried in Little Cedar Cemetery|
Hi Diane, Are there markers or records of Newkirk people buried in Little Cedar Grove Baptist Meeting House Cemetery? I have a history showing Henry Conkright Newkirk was buried during 1839 in "Little Cedar Cemetery" on the farm of his son-in-law Ryleigh Woodworth located SE of Brookville IN. Henry's wife Julia Anna [nee Taylor] Newkirk was buried there during 1836. Hope to hear from you.
With kind regards,
