Bio and Links
Bio Photo trying to stay ahead of developers who want to cover historical markers... and the weather, time and vandals that obscure the inscriptions... to honor those that walked before us.

Although I visit cemeteries whenever I travel (to the dismay of others in the car), most of my work is in Vermont, New Hampshire, New York's lower Hudson Valley and Washington State's Skagit County.

Whenever possible, I post a photo--a photo makes it real. I also try to list the sources I've used to stitch together family relations or any info that I might find. I will not link to those who are listed as burial location unknown.

Thank you in advance for sending in corrections or additions using the Edit button. I appreciate your updates very much. Although I try to thank and acknowledge all corrections, I may not always have the time. Edits posted in the message area below will be ignored and deleted.

I transfer direct relatives within three generations (that means: your siblings, parents, grandparents, children, and grandchildren). As Richard H so aptly puts it:
"... someone who died 200 years ago could be related to thousands of people." Please use the virtual cemetery feature to group your family memorials.

My activity is seasonal--I use the New England winters to create new memorials with the images I've collected the rest of the year. There are several thousand waiting to be processed...

Thanks!

RE: Scott
Source for information regarding Ann Scott is the Scott Genealogy:

http://www.mocavo.com/Scott-Genealogy-Descendants-of-John-Scott-of-Roxbury/745722/159#42

My apologies for not citing the exact page number. I failed to Cc myself when submitting a request for updates, so I don't recall exactly which Ann this is.

Thanks,
Jeff

Just got a message from the funeral home. They are going to be out at that cemetery tomorrow. The fellow is going to see if he can find the location of the grave(s) and take a picture. If he is successful, saves time and travel. Will let you know. Pat

Mary bell Martin / Louis Judson King

According to the funeral home they were stored at the School Street Cemetery but then buried in Wells Cemetery in Canaan, Grafton NH. The fellow there is going to see if he can find the plot/location of where they were buried. I checked Wells, after I moved Mary there, I found Louise, his mother is buried there. If this cemetery is in your area, I'll forward the lot/location if they have it.

Horton
Hello, I so appreciate your dedication to this cause. My Horton ancestors are buried in the Bethlehem Pres Cemetery on Rt 94. Though some are mentioned here in Find A Grave I'd like to have more of my family listed. Please tell me how to go about getting this information to you.
May I also give you information on the Horton and Felter families in Washingtonville Pres. Cemetery?
Thanks for your help, Ginnie

RE: Dorcas Griswold
Thank you for all the work you have done on this. I know that others who are descended from these folks will find a treasure trove from all the work that you have done.

My mystery is not going to be this easy to solve, but I thank you for your offer of assistance. However, the answer I believe lies in Canada. My only connection to Laura and Horace Eaton is that fact that a Timothy Lacey was staying with them at the time of the 1850 census. If this is truly my chap then why was he in Hanover? I do know that his son graduated there some years earlier.

Anyway, your site is lovely and the citations will help many reasearchers now and in the future.

Best regards,
Susan
