I began my family ancestry research in 2007 after the loss of my brother, grandmother, and father-in-law within a 1 year period...I just wish that I had started this sooner when those who could answer my questions were still around--not to mention identify people in old pictures...I have just recently signed up as a volunteer for my local cemeteries...it is very peaceful to take a break and help others find their ancestors resting places...there is something very comforting in returning the favor for others who have helped me...|
As I find family members, I am creating memorials for them and linking them with the family. The only memorials I have are family members so if you would like more information or have questions, please email me. My family research is ongoing and these memorials are in conjunction with researching so I am slow about creating them but very much working on it.
I am currently also creating memorials from the burial records of the following cemeteries:
FAIRCHILD CEM (Verm Co, IL) - done
JOHNSON CEM (Verm Co, IL)- done
HIGGINSVILLE CEM (Verm Co, IL) - done
JOHNSONVILLE CEM aka Thurman/Humphrey/Stewart (Verm Co, IL) - done
SWISHER CEM (Verm Co, IL) - done
If you have family in these and would like a transfer of the memorial please let me know. If they are not in my tree, I would be glad to transfer them to you.

When ATWWOOD FAMILY RECORDS was on the internet, it was entered by Alan Woodrum and his e-mail was email@example.com.
|Larry Benner||James & Margaret Atwood|
The death dates for James and Margaret Atwood are in a book called ATWOOD FAMILY RECORDS 1960-1961 by Mrs Charles Atwood. This book was on the internet at one time but is no longer. For some reason it starts with page 45 and continues thru page 102. If you wish me to copy it and sent it, please give me you mailing address
|The Ancestor Hunter||Lydia Evans|
Thanks for your query. Changes have been made to Lydia's husband John's memorial posting. I feel Lydia & John Evans were buried in the London Tract Church Cemetery.
In establishing memorials on findagrave for both the Welsh Tract & London Tract I used published church records, a 1908 cemetery census for the Newark burials and photographic censuses done for both cemeteries in about 2008. (Note the 1908 census showed blank lines for apparent burials where there was no marker.)
Note there are some later Evans that were buried in the Welsh Tract Baptist Church cemetery. Some of them have grave markers that can be seen for the findagrave memorials in that cemetery.
The London Tract church was formed out of the membership of the Newark Welsh Tract Baptist Church. Initially the Newark church records showed all of the events that pertained to the collective membership as being for the Welsh Tract Church.
Initially members would go to either church depending where they lived and on family circumstances. They could go to the London ... church service one Sunday and the next Sunday to the Welsh ... church.
After the London Tract church became it's own church there were still events that pertained to the London Tract ... shown in the Welsh Tract ... Church records.
Coming to this realization for me was not an immediate thing nor were my postings to findagrave. Opening the doors to the realization of things was easier for some than others. I missed changing John's mention of Lydia's burial.
This Evans gave land for the London Tract church in 1725. That fact, death dates and other repeated assessments make me feel confident that Lydia and other Evans in this family were buried in the London Tract Church burial grounds.
This is a long post, if you have questions get back to me.

What happens with duplicate memorials is between the people who manage them - I just thought I'd let you know about it in case you hadn't seen it.

|Dorothy Knight||Clems in Edgar Cem.|
Hi, my husband's line has Clem's in it. It has had many spellings, Klemm, Klem, Clem, Clemm. But the most recent spelling was Clem. He has recorded several Clems in the Edgar Cemetery, Paris, Illinois. I do not know HOW he arrived at that since I cannot find them in the Edgar Cem., I am sorry, I picked your name as the first person who had listed someone in Edgar Cem., Would it be possible for you do look and see if there are any more CLems. SPecifically an Ezra, 1885 to 1925. A David 1824 to 1891. There are only a few listed in the Edgar Cem. So my husband has me confused. We are in California or I would like to do it my self. If you are unable to recheck, is there some one else you would recommend. Many thanks, Dorothy Knight

I'm sorry about that I thought you could. The person that did her memorial has passed away so I don't know how I can put her information on there...birth, death, parents and so on!
Again Sorry, Belinda

Evelyn, I'v made a notation on his memorial for now and will make a definite correction when I return home. I'm doing some genealogy work in Iroquois County yesterday and today. I don't have a computer with me or my records. Thanks for the notification. God Bless. Mary
