Apple's Chapel has been my home church all my life except for about 10 years while living in other locations. I am a retired nurse and serve as historian of Apple's Chapel. Welcome one and all to join us for worship.

Currently I am adding memorials from a listing compiled by Norma Gordon. This list is the results of a survey of the cemetery and includes all readable headstones prior to 1982. Any errors will be corrected upon request.

References: The Browns of Apple's Chapel by Norma Brown Gordon, 1993; Apple Genealogoly--A Genealogical Register of Apple Families Originating in North Carolina by Stephen W. Apple and Karen Booth Apple, 1992; and families of the church.

Peggy, please add whatever you wish. I love seeing your photos from my family's church. I only wish my 4th great grandparents, John and Sallie Apple, had markers.

I'm sure she's the right person. I get a lot of my information from the death certificates--which don't always match the tombstones.

Whenever I see the tombstones, I use the dates on them--which you just provided. But I've always wondered which is right because this happens a lot.

I've corrected his birthdate to coincide with his tombstone.

Thanks for correcting me.

RE: Lana/Frank Chrismon
Hi
I use the library's version of Ancestry. I work full time so I couldn't spend no where near enough time to make it worth it. I also use www.familysearch.org. That is the Mormon website and it is free.
Thanks for adding Lana's daughter. I'll connect them.
