Meredith Cagle
Meredith Cagle was my father and I do appreciate all the time and effort you have put into doing all this. It's so very helpful in trying to remember someone's death date or birth date. However, Meredith Cagle's death date is Dec. 3, 1979 not 1978. I just thought you might appreciate this info.

Thank you again,
Annette Cagle Kellam

THANK YOU for posting his biopage and links--
I've now linked him to his Southern Patriot father.
Do you have any info/pics regarding Pinkney?

re: Parents of Lydia Whitt Teague
Thanks much for correcting my error. I had her brother and sis-in-law as parents. Much appreciated.

I am new to this so forgive me!!
Hi I am Sherry and I am adopted and have been finding out quite a bit about my "other" life. I lived with my real mother up until I was 5 but sadly I do not have any memories of my father or his side of the family. The death records says he is buried at Holly Hills in Thomasville but I can't find anything else. I can't even find his obituary or anything that can help me figure out what happened to him. His name is Fondie Hyatt and he was buried 2-14-84. Do you have any suggestions for a novice? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again!

RE: Picture of headstone.
Miss Polly - Copyright infringement can be so complicated.......For safety sake, I want to make sure I was clear what I was asking. I don't want anyone to get in trouble. Attached is the query I got from NC CemeteryCensus regarding my request if he could post the headstone for Alfred to the site:

"You did not ask Polly for permission to post the photo at CemeteryCensus. Polly gave you permission to use the photo "in your records", but not to post at CemeteryCensus.

I don't mean to sound like I'm beating a dead horse, but without permission, CemeteryCensus may be legally liable to being sued for posting a copyright photo without permission. We cannot afford a lawsuit.

Find-a-grave has the exact same situation, and their Terms of Usage spell out that you must ONLY post photos that you personally own or have written permission to post."

RE: Picture of headstone.
Thank you so much. I truly appreciate it. I should have asked permission beforehand.

Lessons learned. Some might take offense.

I will certainly make sure that the information maintains your name as the one who took [and so graciously provided] the picture.

Picture of headston.
Memorial # 51810265 headstone for John Alfred Webster.

I apologize for asking, but you were kind enough to transfer management for site to me a while back. Does the picture transfer as well or do I need your permission to have it used in the NC Census?

I should have asked before, but did not realize that the picture might not 'convey' as well. My profound apology if I misunderstood, as long as I gave credit to the individual who made the transfer.
