I am a Cannaday descendant & would love to share information with you. My grandmother was Georgia Marie Cannaday, dau of George, who moved to Portsmouth, OH in the early 1900's; son of WM Ferdinand, son or David, son of James (Revolutionary War Veteran), son of William, son of John, son, John & Margaret Summers, son of John, son of William. I have found this information mostly on Ancestry.com & the Mormon site, FamilySearch.org. Do you know if the very early Wm (1647-1681), John (1680-1753), John (1707-1753), WM (1730-1801) is correct? I've been told if the early migration is correct, we are probably from Scotland. I've had my DNA checked, I am 30% Great Britain & Scotland.
Another big question is does anyone know the parents of Elizabeth Raikes (Rakes) wife of James the Rev. War Veteran? I know this is probably too much info to start, but I would really love to talk to you. Thank you, Karen

|Lynne Howell||Very Merry Christmas|
Thank you for transferring Pop's memorial to me.
Ralph does remember you, and said to tell you hello.
I would love to attend the reunion. I will put the date on my calendar. Hopefully, I will be able to be there.

Thank you so much for the fine memorial you prepared for my father-in-law. Would you consider transferring his memorial to me?

|Allen Farner||Civil War Soldier|
Hello Mr. Cannaday:
My name is Allen Farner. Awhile back, on the internet, I stumbled acrosse a Lieutenant from the civil war by the same name as myself.
He was from Vigina and my Farner ancestors were from Wisconsin so I doubt if there is any relationship.
But, I wondered if he survived the war. And thanks to the information you put on Find-A-Grave
I now know he did.
However, he didn't get very old. Was that because of hie time in the war? And is there a military marker at his gravesite?
|STurner||Turner Family Cemetery|
I have added several family members to the "Turner Family Cemetery" today. The only two listed were Walter & Elsie Turner. Could you rename this Cemetery to the "Peter C. Turner Family Cemetery" since this cemetery was on his homeplace & his family is buried here. There are so many Turner Family Cemeteries listed, it is hard to find the right one. Thank you!

Joel, I noticed that on the afore mentioned memorial, that the death date is 2015 and the burial date is 2013. Which is the correct one?
|A.W.R.||Cannaday Family Cemetery|
Dear Joel: By any chance do you know where the Cannaday Family Cemetery is located in Stuart, Va? I can't find it using the directions that is on the cemetery page.
