I live in the Piedmont North Carolina. I have been doing genealogy since 1999. Cemetery hopping is one of my favorite hobbies.|
Thanks to everyone that volunteers and helps answer questions. It is a terrible thing to be ugly to others just because they are solving a puzzle.

Go ahead and link the children and I'll approve them. And YES, I definitely think Edgar and Edward Tesh are two completely different people. Everything points to that except the cause of death. Where did you get the info about his death from burns? As I mentioned earlier, if you send me your email address I'll send you a copy of Edgar's death certificate.

But did you notice the big differences not only in their names but their birthdate, death date, parent's names and spouse name. Yours has a monument with those dates on it. Mine was created from his death certificate. These two cannot be the same person. The only thing that is the same is the manner of death. That's why I wondered where you got that info. Perhaps it is a coincidence but I wonder if someone didn't send you his manner of death thinking it applied to him when he actually died in some other way. I tried to find a dc for him but couldn't.

Karen - I don't add the names of children to the bios if there is a chance they may still be alive without their permission. Identity theft is a major issue in this day and age. If you have their memorial numbers then go ahead and link them or send them to me. Thanks!

Karen - It appears these are two different people. Your memorial is EDWARD Tesh, not Edgar as you noted in your email. I looked for a death certificate for your entry and couldn't find one. The dates are very different for each, the parents are different and the spouse is different. I thought it was strange also that you cite his children in his bio that you found in the 1920 census when it appears Edward died in 1909. Where did you get the info concerning his death??? Did someone send it to you??? It is the only thing about these two folks that seem to agree. If you send me your email address I'll send you a copy of the death certificate for my entry.

Hello. Thank you so much for your response! My moms mom was a Newton and her dad is a Vaughan. Their names are Mamie Etta Newton Vaughan and William Ellis Vaughan. I have lots on the Vaughans but very little on the Newtons. Mamies father is John Samuel Newton(called Sam) and Mother Lina Angalina Stoots Newton. I found Lina's parents and siblings but I'm stuck with Sam. I know his father and mother were John Q. Newton and Lucy Jane Amburn Newton. Thought I would start with the other John G. Newton at Whitetop from the Spanish American war but without dates, other than when the war was, I can't seem to find the relation to Sam Newton. I have a copy of Sams death certificate. Was John G. Newton Sams brother? Thought you may know something. Thank you again for all that you do. You're amazing! I'm about to graduate from nursing school and hope to get something started to cleanup Whitetop cemetery! I love that place and visit often!

I wondered when our genealogy paths would cross. Having traded notes for years I always wondered.
Her husband, Dan Marshall, is a member of my Marshall family. Distantly related.
