I'm in Virginia and I love cemetery hunting and taking pictures of headstones and graves. I work long hours sometimes so it's hard to hunt for cemeteries and graves until I have a day off. I still have tons of pictures to add here. If there is anything I can do to help you in the Thaxton, Irving, Bedford, Montvale, Blue Ridge areas please let me know and I'll do my best to help. If your main interest is in Taylor's Mountain, then please contact me or join my "Taylor's Mountain Descendents" page on Facebook.

Please feel free to use my photos from findagrave...all I ask is that you give me credit for my photos when you use them.

Thanks so much for visiting...

RE: Nannie Virginia Orange David 128201619
Hi Cindy,

I hope the directions are accurate. I live in Oklahoma, so I've never been there. Nannie is my husbands great grandmother, and a big mystery to us. I (think) I have her parents names, and possibly a sibling or two, but we really know nothing about her, or where they came from. One of many brick walls!

I was able to see an enlarged version of the photo of this primitive headstone enough to read part of the inscription. I see the bitrh date as 18_7, The 3rd number is illegible and the death date as ? -04-1911. The first part of this looks like an M at first but I don't think it is. Anyway, hope this helps.

His death certificate says he is buried here. You can request a volunteer take a picture of his marker by selecting "Request a Photo".

RE: Joseph Casey Woodworth
Cindy, have not established that this is one of my husband's relatives. In researching, I find this one was born in Kansas. His parent's names were James and Celia Woodworth. He's listed on the Kansas State Bureau Collection of 1925 as being 10 months old. His mother's maiden name was Casey. 1925 census lists his siblings as: Jos Woodworth, Rozella Woodworth, Paula Grace Woodworth, Jean and Jane Woodworth (twins) and Joseph himself.

That's all I have on him.

You can find an inventory of this cemetery at the free site CemeteryCensus.com. You can look at a transcription of his death certificate at the free site FamilySearch.org. I will transfer his memorial to you. Thanks for all you do.
