Please visit my little cousin Jackie May Creasy who is buried on a hillside in West Virginia. |
I'm in Virginia and I love cemetery hunting and taking pictures of headstones and graves. I work long hours sometimes so it's hard to hunt for cemeteries and graves until I have a day off. I still have tons of pictures to add here. If there is anything I can do to help you in the Thaxton, Irving, Bedford, Montvale, Blue Ridge areas please let me know and I'll do my best to help. If your main interest is in Taylor's Mountain, then please contact me or join my "Taylor's Mountain Descendents" page on Facebook.
Please feel free to use my photos from findagrave...all I ask is that you give me credit for my photos when you use them.
Thanks so much for visiting...

Thank you so much for your photos and text, Cindy. David Lowry is my cousin and I visited the cemetery and him when in Virginia in May...we met to plan a strategy to rescue this cemetery! David has done a lot of genealogical searching and I believe has the birth date of James Lowry if you contact him. ann

Thanks for the email. It would be great if you could find Sarah's grave. She remarried after John Henry was killed in the civil war. She married Madison Switzer. He was a lot older. On the 1880 census she was 43 years old with two young children, living in Cave Spring, Roanoke, VA.

I will be more than happy to transfer this memorial to you if you would like. I am not a relation and just try and go out when the weather is nice and take a few pictures. I've had so many wonderful volunteers fill in the pieces of my family puzzle it's the least I can do.
|Gay Hockman||John Henry Giles|
Thanks. I will give you credit for the photo. Do you have a photo of Sarah Atkinson Giles' grave?
Thanks again, Gay Hockman

I am sorry I do not know the answer to your question.
