Retired Air Force and a former military brat.|
I started photographing headstones when I found my father’s memorial and no headstone photo.
I am currently in the process of photo documenting local cemeteries in the Johnson County area.
The following is a listing of the cemeteries I have photographed all visible headstones. I have not edited and added all of the photos taken as sometimes life can get in the way. I am trying to keep up with recent burials and add them as they become available.
Basin Knob Cemetery
Bluff Springs Cemetery
Catholic Cemetery (Knob Noster)
Cecil Memorial Cemetery
Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery
Fair Oak Cemetery
High Point Cemetery
Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery
Jacoby Chapel Cemetery
Knob Noster Cemetery
Marr – Greer Cemetery
Mount Calvary Cemetery
Mount Olive Cemetery
Mount Zion Cemetery – Post Oak Township
Mount Zion Cemetery – Dunksburg
New Liberty Cemetery
Rock Springs Cemetery
Saint John Catholic Cemetery
Wall Cemetery – Jefferson Township
Wesley Chapel Cemetery
Woods Chapel Cemetery
Please let me know if I have a family member and you like them transferred over to you. Also, please inform me if I need to make corrections or you have information you would like to see added to a memorial.

Curtis already has a page, and mine is a tribute from a friend. Since Find a Grave frowns on duplicates...

Thank you for transferring my mother's memorial to my care. I deeply appreciate your initiating the memorial so quickly after her death. Working on her memorial gives me some peace.

My mother has many fond memories of spending the summers on the farm with her Scott cousins. Please transfer him to me.
|SWVA Genealogy Searcher||Hello|
Not at home so I am sending through Find A Grave. You created a memorial for Harry H. Yancey in Crestview about a year after my memorial and added a photo. Then transferred to a Yancey that has requested all Yancey's. Could you transfer your headstone photo to my memorial and let me see if I can get them to delete theirs. Most of the memorials are not direct decendants of theirs and just distant relatives. If they would like and I can't find a connection to my family, I will transfer mine to them. I have no problem with that at all.
Thanks so much, and hope you are doing well in this hot weather,

Many thanks for the transfer.

I'd like to say thank you for approving the edits I sent and liking Rosa to her parents for me. It is greatly appreciated.
I'm still researching info on Dianne (My 4th-great-grandmother).. According to the "History of Johnson Co, Mo. (published 1881), her maiden name was "Good", though in the census it is also spelled "Goode". I also suspect that her early death was due to childbirth, which she and the child (Rosa) did not survive. Still working on that though..
Again, thank you very much!
