RE: Green Lee and Ethel Moore Koger
To request the transfer of a memorial you need to click on the "EDIT" tab in the upper right hand corner of the memorial then select the option for "OTHER requests". You need to state your relationship to the deceased and give your member #.
This needs to be done for each individual request.
Thanks, BWalls

RE: Clairance Pettry Martin
Try contacting the hospital librarian. Her name is Karen Gilliam. She can advise you as to which family member could qualify to sign a release of information and have a search of the available old records done to give a little more information about why he was admitted to the hospital - provided the record is still available. There was no fire at the hospital although I believe there may have been one in the county library years ago. Karen can be reached through the hospital operator at 828 433-2111. Unfortunately the state made the hospitals shred a lot of their records as they were unwilling to provide the storage space needed for them. But the medical records personnel have abstracted some of the details and may have some of the specifics available on your uncle. I hope this helps.

RE: Clarence Pettry Martin
The photo of the Bible page shows that it was from his father's Find a Grave memorial page and is credited to you. If you do not want it used on his memorial I will certainly remove it.
There was no great record-destroying fire at Broughton nor were the grave markers destroyed by any means. As you can see his marker is intact - I photographed all of the markers in 2010. His memorial page gives the Row and Grave number - Row 38, Grave 27. It is a public cemetery and the directions are given on the primary page for the cemetery where there is also a description of the layout of the graves so that the right row can be found.
At this point I am not transferring memorials from the hospital cemetery as conflicts have arisen when I transferred a few.

Polio Hospital
Hi Bobbi,
I believe you wrote an inquiry regarding wishing for a photo of the Polio Hospital. My response below your letter:

My grandfather lived the last few years of his life in what was called the "Poor House". It was actually the Guilford County Home for the poor. He died there in 1955. Some years later it was torn down. It stood near the corner of Huffine Mill and Bessemer Avenue beside the old Polio Hospital in NE Greensboro. I have tried for several years to find a picture of this building but cannot. Does anyone have any idea where I can go to find a picture of it for my personal genealogical book of my families history.

There's a group on facebook that has at least one professor... we are currently discussing the Polio Hospital and photo links are available

RE: Ferguson Justice
Hi Bobbi,

No my maiden name is Womack. My husband's last name is Justice. He has family members buried in North and South Carolina, and Virginia. We live in South Chesterfield County, Virginia. We are doing family research on my family and my husband's family. Its has been very hard trying to locate family members in both families. Find A Grave has been very helpful locating some of the family members, as well as Ancestry. If your friend would like to contact us, that would fine. You never know, its possible that we may be related some how. Thank you for contacting us. Best wishes.

I am the great grandson of J. Morris Pugh who you name as a cousin in one of your posts. You also talk about a family Bible. I would love to meet you, talk about my family some and see the Bible. Let me know if any of this is possible. I live in Randolph County.

Ada Louise Lackey Foust
You stated in Ada's bio that she had 12 children, but only nine survived her death. Do you happen to know the names of the three remaining children?
