Just wondering "Where did my family come from?" is very dangerous. Genealogy has become a passion for me. Allen, Fuller, Heacox, Kelley, Kirk, Martin, Meadows, Mohr, Spurlin, and Stewart are family names that are very close to my heart. My husband & I have been married for 27 years, we have 3 great children, and are faithful to our local church.|

Thank you for accepting the edits and posting the story of Leona Frederick McCullum's life. As you are the manager of Leona's and Carl McCullum's memorials, would you like me to transfer management of their son Carl McCullum Jr (#174382862) to you?

Thanks, Eula. I appreciate the reply. I just thought it was interesting that there seemed to be a discrepancy in the record. And there is no hurry on finding a stone... too cold to go out back there. Just saying! Interesting to note, one of Arthur's sisters was Eula June (Ula), who married a Joe Hardy. And I had an aunt named Ula. Great name! Thanks again, Larry

I have been doing some research on the Jeffries family for a friend, and found Arthur's brother, Cledus, dying in Reno, NV, where he is buried in the Mt. View Cemetery. In doing an obituary search on newspapers.com, I came across the obituary for Arthur or A.J. I then was able to find his death certificate which says he was buried in Mt. View Cemetery in Reno. Is there a stone for Arthur in the Dugger Cemetery? I have found that Arthur's father Lewis is buried in Fairview Cem in Linton, and that Arthur's grandfather, Sanford David Jeffries (spelled Jefferies on his death certificate) is buried in the Dugger Cemetery. Thanks, Larry

Thank you for including their information. Lee Otho Tackett was my 2nd cousin 2x removed. His daughter, Lea Ann was my 3rd cousin 1x removed. Lea Ann's grandmother, Rebecca Ann Smith was my 1st cousin 3x removed. Rebecca's father, Gabriel Barney Smith was my 3rd great-uncle. Gabriel's sister, Letitia Ann Smith Conley was my 2nd great-grandmother. I never met any members of the Tackett or Smith families.

I haven't done much with the Fuquay research lately, so I'll have to look up my copies , etc. and get back with you. If it's o.k., I'll send the info to you at your e-mail address instead of posting it on Find A Grave.

Sarah was NOT the daughter of Charles & Mary (Polk) Kelley. Her parents were Glenn & Hannah (Blackford) Kelley. Sarah is on the 1880 census as being their daughter and their names are on her marriage certificate as her parents. They are buried in Folsomville Cemetery, memorial #47988565 and 47988581, respectively. Glenn's parents were Isham and Eliza (Cover) Kelley.
I have corrected her parents' link on her memorial. Someone else sent that link to me to add, and without checking my genealogy file, I accepted the request. That's what happens when I don't double check!
If you still need info on Sarah, I can send you what I have.
Sorry for the confusion.

|ladyN70||RE: Charles B Austin Kelley|
I went to the library yesterday and looked up his notice. I'm afraid it's just a funeral notice and does not give any pertinent information. But, here it is:
Published in the Boonville, Indiana Enquirer Saturday - August 5, 1871:
"The funeral of Osten Kelly will be preached at the Barnhill Chapel, by the Rev. David Perkins, on the fourth Sabbath in August. Mr. Kelly was a member of the General Baptist Church."
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I will email you tomorrow with information I found
|Cheryl Ayres||Re: John A Stewart|
I will have to respectfully decline your request for transfer. John A Stewart had 17 grandchildren & would most likely have descendants more closely related then you relationship. Sorry!
