I enjoy photographing cemeteries and posting the information here on Find-A-Grave for all my fellow genelogists to use. I know how difficult it is to find burial sites of elusive relatives.

As for transfers of these memorials, I am glad to do it, provided your request falls within the Find-A-Grave transfer guidelines. I find that sticking to the guidelines keeps everyone happy and polite.

Regardless, I am always happy to add links, family information, or obituaries to any of these memorials. Just use the EDIT tab and ask away. I often add links myself based on information in an obituary or on a gravestone.

Happy hunting!

Memorial Transfer
Thank you for transferring the memorial I requested. I am quite new to Find A Grave and have found the level of civility and selflessness within the community refreshing. I hope to contribute in kind. Again, thank you.

Harriet Higley 1901-1960
There are two Harriet Higley 1901-1960 records set up for Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery in Chapel Hill, NC.
Your record is 19976530...the other record is 49042449. The other record has family connections, pictures, and a maiden name. I don't know if you can combine the records or if this record should be deleted but I thought you should know.

RE: Re: Rylands in South Hill, VA
I am only concerned with the Ryland's related to the Walker's in South Hill.

Norman Underwood# 58282499
Hi-
I was wondering if I could use your photo of Norman Underwood's (memorial #58282499) grave for my family tree. He was my 3rd great grandfather. Let me know how you would like to be credited if it's okay.
Thanks!

Albert O'Briant #38521853
Hi Robert,
Thank you for your advice. I will check out these possibilities.

Also, you mentioned being part of the Brooks family. My maternal lineage goes back to Rimmers in Person, one who married Mary Ann Moore with a Brooks who signed the marriage bond, so we may have ancestors in common. Whenever I see "Brooks" and Person County together I am curious to find out if there is any relationship.

My G Grand Aunt, Esther Ruth Brooks of Person County, married Philip Benjamin Wheeley, so we may yet find we have ancestors in common.

All of my maternal ancestors hail from Person and Caswell Counties with a few from Granville.

Thank you for your help!
Tammy

Albert O'Briant #38521853
Hi, I was referred to you from another Find a Grave member and his wife.

I am trying to find a photo of the tombstone of Albert O'Briant. I know it was surveyed, since the dates of birth and death for both he and his wife and the inscriptions on their tombstones are recorded in their memorial.

I need this to help a person who is proving their lineage and wishing to join the DAR and UDC and proof of those dates is required.

If you can help, or know someone who can, I would greatly appreciate having a photo of at least Albert's stone and if possible Mary's too.

I believe Mary to be a relative of mine since all of my ancestors on my maternal side were raised in Person and Caswell Counties.

I don't live too far from the grave site but it is now on private property, which can be a very pleasant experience or not, depending on the property owner.

Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to give.

Sincerely,
Tammy Hall Shropshire
