|Barbara Barr||RE: Ft Lt Gillian Lorne Campbell|
May I ask what is your interest in Gillian?
|Barbara Barr||Ft Lt Gillian Lorne Campbell|
Are you related to Gillian Lorne Campbell. I see references that his father was Sir Edward Taswell Campbell but anywhere that I find that gives the children of Sir Edward, Gillian is not even shown.
Gillian, known as punch, served with my father-in-law in Sqn 236, 272, and at Boscombe Down. Gillian, approx 3 weeks before he was killed, was best man at my in-laws wedding.
I would be most interested in contact any descendants of Sir Edward.
I had noticed a while ago that it was not represented. You beat me to it! Well done. Interesting to see the Polish flag at Coldharbour.

I saw the photo of the grave on which he is commemorated. He is actually buried in France near where he was killed in the Battle of the Somme. Could you tell me in which churchyard this grave was please? His parents grave) It may be in Sussex, possibly Henfield.
