RE: Howell Ruth
Hi, Ann,

I contacted you a few months ago concerning Abner Howell, thinking that your Abner and my Abner were the same person. However, I think they are in fact two different people. My ancestor, Abner Howell, was born in 1739 and died in 1812. Do these dates fit in with any of your research? It all gets a little confusing trying to go so far back in history.

I'm still working on this, but please contact me if you think we might have a common ancestor.

RE: Anna McDaniel Reynolds, Nickell
Thank you for Anna's corrections, and your response. I can find a record of only one child born to James and Anna Reynolds. Eva Grace, b. 12-4-1902 in Monroe. That record reflects she was first child born to them, and if there were later ones they are apparently not recorded in Monroe.

RE: Harmon
Hi Ann,

Sorry I haven't found a connection to Virginia for the HARMONS (my husband's family). His people came from North Carolina through Kentucky.

My husband's great great great grandfather, Henry Harmon, was Born 1787 in NC; married Mary 'Polly' Glass in Henry Co, KY in 1813 and died in Johnson Co, IN in 1857.

I did notice their passing within a month of each other and thought how very sad for this family. You seem like a good friend and both are blessed because of it.

The new fence is ready to go in, just waiting for the man to do it! It looks like a cemetery! Go to WV Cemetery Preservation Association site, there are pics!
