|cowfordlady||Maiden name changed for Josephine Rowell|
Hi, Leslie! On 02 March 2015 you submitted a request to add the maiden name WOLCOTT to my memorial for JOSEPHINE ROWELL (wife of WILLIAM H. ROWELL). The Find A Grave system accepted your request before I could finish my research about her maiden name, then my computer crashed, and I forgot about your request.
But, earlier this month, I reviewed the list of accepted requests for changes to my memorials, and finished my research on Josephine's surname.
I found that it was MATSON (as listed on the marriage records of her son MARTIN G. BARKER, and in at least one book about Newton County, Indiana). During my research, I noticed that Martin's first wife was ALEATHA J. DEARDURFF, and that you own a few Deardurff memorials. While you don't own the memorial for George Deardorff, records show that he married a lady named Josephine Wolcott in 1865, and Aleatha was one of their 13 children.
I changed Josephine Rowell's maiden surname to Matson and updated her biography, so you might want to read the new info to see if it agrees with your info about her. If you have proof that her surname was Wolcott, I will gladly make the change after you post it on my Find A Grave message board.
Have a blessed holiday!

I worked for Mr Schwalm when he worked for WV Water Company in Charleston, WV. He was a vice president. He did not spend most of his career in Charleston. He was transferred from Uniontown PA after American Water Works bought WV Water Company.

Hi Leslie - Are you related to the Crisler family? My wife is a Crisler descendant, but very distant relation to Billy. I can transfer Billy & Ruby's memorials to you if you desire. I'm thinking that the date on Ruby's grave stone is her birth, rather than death, as I have it, and I'm going to change that. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

While looking for another grave I was taken by this stones beauty and that it had the names of two young girls. I incorrectly linked them as married. Since I have corrected their dates and names.

Leslie, yes it is possible(now that I look closer at the pictures I took of the stone) that I misread this stone. I made the proper correction to the dates. Thank you for the heads-up on this. Please let me know if there are any other corrections I may need to make, and if there are any memorials that I can transfer to you, please let me know and I would be happy to do so.
