I've had family located in Washington State since 1878 and have been interested in genealogy for some time now. My Grandpa Ed Bailey had worked on our family for years - way before the internet made it easier. I've taken and expanded his work and really enjoy the research involved.|
Family names I'm working on:
VanValkenburg, Warren, Drabe, Stein, McCullough, Chase, Scott, Evans, Crisp, Simpson, Bailey, Boyd, Herman, Finch, Armstrong, Bruner, Frey, Erdman, Brann, Gengewehr, Price, Lind, Bond, and too many other's to list.
I have an account with Ancestry.com as well with an extensive family tree and tons of photos of my various lines. Please send me a message if you are interested in viewing my tree.
Also - THANK YOU to all who contribute photos and information - you have helped with so many previous dead-ends!

|S. Challen||I think we may be related...?|
I've been searching my family history and I've found that we share a family connection. My great-great grandmother is Juvia (Gilbert) Dole daughter of Mary Elizabeth Bassett and Owen Gilbert.
I would like to correspond with you if you are interested. I'm hoping you might be able to fill in some "gaps" for me.
I think I might be able to help with some of your McCullough who are buried in Union Cemetery, Uhrichsville, Ohio. I have a copy of the cemetery books and will gladly look for those who are there. Your Lucy McCullough Bukey and husband John Wheeler Bukey are in OC( Old Cemetery), Lot 13, Graves 6 and 7, with John Bukeys parents Wm H. and Margaret Bukey. I am going grave by grave , Section by Section and verifying this for the Cemetery. I have hand scanned all of the records, Internments, Deeds, Plots, etc. and it is all digital now. Eventually it will be available on DVD.
If I can help, please ask.

Hi Mark, I am going through the Bruning Funeral Home (Colfax, Whitman, WA) records because there was a wild land fire in 1926 and all the cemetery records and wood markers at the Colfax, Whitman, Wa cemetery were destroyed. T
The only records that exist are the Bruning Records. The records I am going through are from 1895 - 1926. I am currently on 1904, so have a way to go.
I will be adding them as I get through them. IF you know the dates I can look for the burial record...
If you would like a transfer of any of your family members in my care, just do a transfer sac !!

You're welcome. And you are sure he is in the Pauper Cemetery? So sad if so. My best.
Hello, I saw your request for a photo of Heinrich Drabe's memorial marker. Regretfully, all the visible markers in the Pauper Cemetery have been photographed. It is not a maintained cemetery.
But thought you might be interested in this:
Groom's Name: August Drabe
Bride's Name: Josephine Luessman
Marriage Date: 10-07-1930
Hope this helps a little.
From a Tacoma-ite.
Here are a couple of links that may help you:
This one lists everyone in the cemetery...
This one has a photo...
If you'd like, I can take more photos and get a better close up.
This appears to be the same Fanny that you are requesting.
Please let me know if you are still interested in the photo and I will go and do it.

Mark, Thank you so much for the information to link with parents and spouse. It has been completed.
In case you might be interested, I have added three Erdman memorials to Mount Moriah Cemetery.

As I was showing my Grandmother Carolyn (Senn) the pictures you added to find-a-grave, she mentioned that she had been to Washington to see your Grandfather Ed Bailey, her first cousin. To make sure she wasn't confusing people, I kept digging. We're all so sorry for your loss. I realize it's a few months after the fact, but she had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. She was pretty emotional to see that he had passed away. She said many years ago her parents (Doris Bruner and "Tab" Francis Senn) had paid for them to go to Washington to see the Bailey family. She said your family was amazing and refused to let them rent a car. Your Grandfather Ed loaned them one of their cars to get around. We're all excited to see these pictures you have posted on the website and wish you a Merry Christmas. The first year is always tough; Carolyn's husband Fred, my Grandfather passed away two years ago three days before Christmas. Your family is in our prayers.
