Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started researching my husband's family several years ago when we "inherited" all the photos, newspaper clippings, wedding invitations, etc. that his grandmother had kept. I didn't want to throw it all out because it was a lifetime of memories and keepsakes so I began to organize it on a genealogy database. Then I was "hooked"!

I accidently stumbled onto my cousin's posting on a message board while I was searching for information on MY family and this thing just took on a life of it's own.

I volunteered to take photos for Find-a-Grave after I requested and received some for my postings. It was so exciting to see the stones that I thought it would be nice to reciprocate. I also think I have a "sixth sense" or the deceased just "call to me" because since I started taking photos, I've been to cemeteries that I've never been to and I just seem to be able to walk right up to the grave! I've done it almost every time!

If I have posted something incorrectly or if I have posted something you feel is inappropriate, please email me or leave a message and I will correct it.

I am not related to any of the postings for Mifflin County, PA so I will gladly transfer memorials to a family member, no matter how distant. PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB AT THE MEMORIAL TO MAKE THE TRANSFER REQUEST. It's much easier that way and all the necessary information is there.

Any photos I post here are free to be used by anyone. If you do not want me to use your photos, please do not claim my requests.

RE: Bailey/Rutherford stones
Cool... I live in North Carolina, not sure when I'll be back through PA. Back in the 80's I did a lot of research with a Rutherford cousin Dorothy Knapp of Allensville, she died in 1994. She was a great person and did a lot of research then. I'm sure you knew her. Thanks again, and I've put the pic requests for the memorials.

Bailey/Rutherford stones
Thanks for the pic of Samuel Bailey & Nancy Jane Rutherford in the Mattawana Cemetery. Wondered if you might chance be going to the Wayne Cemetery, in the future... (Wayne United Brethren Cemetery, once called). I visited there originally in 1990, and took some (bad) pics of Vincent & Sarah Rutherford (same stone), and three on their sons, Matthew G., Henry J. and Isaac Rutherford. I posted their memorials: Vincent # 46219537 & Sarah Jane # 46220968 Rutherford, as well the their children. I re-visited the area in 2004(year of the locust, during that time), but got lost trying to find it. Originally a farmer at the McVeytown's post office showed me it's location, as the pics with my 35mm camera shows, but poor quality. Unsure the stones are still standing, but were in a line of trees. No special trip, but if you happen to be looking for stones there, please look for my Rutherford stones.. I'd greatly appreciate them. And thanks again for your past pics..

Mona I added the obit, it is always great to be able to do this. If you are kin I'd be happy to let you manage his memorial, love when family find family and can do links. This just seems to be an obsession of mine, link families! Luella

RE: Deemers
You're welcome. Since you have information about them I guessed you were related.

RE: Mary Armagost Smith
If you know the years could you add them to the profile? That way I know it is the right person -- along with the husband. :P

Thanks so much
