Please let me know if you would like me to transfer any of my memorials to your family that are not in my family. My grandson Owen and I really enjoy this time together. He especially likes the veteran areas and is really into Gettysburg and Lincoln. We found a relative that had brunch with Lincoln on the day of his address and then she sat on the platform steps to hear his speech. |
We have taken many extra photos when looking for family so that someone else can use them. Please do not hesitate to ask for a transfer.
There are many headstones that are completely erased by time or very hard to read. I will list those as Unknown in the hope that maybe someone will recognize them. I will leave flowers so that they know they were not forgotten.
And for all the Findagrave members, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I was fortunate enough to have an encounter with my Dad who passed in 1995. While visiting our cemetery, I always stop and check the flowers I had put on the grave. Last time I was there, I was sitting in my car (hot outside) and a brief fragrance came past me. I recognized it immediately. It was the same way my Dad smelled after showering and shaving in the morning getting ready for the office. I have not smelled that pleasant fragrance since 1995.
The latest surprise I had was at Hampton Union cemetery in Hampton, PA. When I got home and loaded my photos on the computer, I had a picture I did not take. It was a complete figure of a person that was translucent. But the odd part was that I was alone that day. It could have been me but my arms are not long enough to take a full body picture and there was no background--no other stones, trees, grass or houses--just white.

Thank you Sheila.
|Brenda & Pete||Winfield Frey - Prospect Hill|
The photo that you have posted on Winfield Frey's memorial 99786890 is for the wrong Winfield Frey. The marker you have posted is for a Winfield that was born in 1877 and died in 1908. He needs a memorial created for him and the photo transferred to that memorial. Also the link for the spouse needs to be removed. Margarete Frey born in 1875 wasn't married to Winfield born in 1911. She was married to the other Winfield. Thought you might want to correct this :)

Thank you very much for the nice photos of the headstones of my cousin Rennie and her husband.That was most kind of you.
|Kenneth L. Meyers||RE: Susanna Gisch|
Thanks for all the photos. I suspect you are right about Susanna'a photo. Many of these stones are too old and worn to figure out who they are or what the information is. Thanks again for getting these photos.
